The Cable Guy (1996)
Just short of something special
Just now watching this movie for the first time and it had all these ingredients for something amazing. But sadly it fell a little short for me. The ideas they have going here are real thought provokers but the story at times can be sadly flat. The characters are uninteresting besides The Cable Guy himself but just watching Jim Carrey shine and the ideas are enough to keep you invested.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)
Beautifully crafted and will take you into your own mind
There hasn't been many movies I'd consider perfect but there isn't many movies like this one. Layered, beautiful, emotional pretty much everything. You won't regret taking this trip into the mind of this character.
Memento (2000)
20 years later and it still feels as fresh as ever
Christopher Nolan has proved that there's more than one way to tell a story even in the beginning of his career he was doing things different. Every moment is crafted with precision.
The Invisible Man (2020)
Great movie but it could've been even greater
I love this movie entertaining, intense, smart, well-acted. Sadly though it misses its mark towards the end. It could've been more but instead chose to go the standard routine ending. Don't get me wrong I loved this movie but it's just shy of greatness.
Raging Bull (1980)
Brutal yet Beguiling
It's not your average sports movie it takes a deep dive inside the mind and personal relationship of Jake Lamotta. It at times can be very hard to watch but yet so is the sport and our expectations we have on those who participate. Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese at their best.
