I found it better than the other users state

Warning: Spoilers
I quite liked it. Yes, there were some things not well thought out, but overall it had a lot of good sides. I liked the actors and the acting, the baseline of "dont mess with the multiverse" and resulting in mixing up different parallel universes, is a good plotline. The escalating issues after one thing breaks also makes a lot of sense in a space-craft.

Lean back and enjoy until the very end.

Just terrible, I regret having wasted time on it

Warning: Spoilers
This was by far the worst I have seen in the last years.

It seems like they tried really hard to hit rock bottom.

The mostly good actors did a lousy job.

The story made no sense.

The rugged old misunderstood soldier plotline for Bruce was unconvincing and played very badly. Seems like Bruce has finally lost his mojo.

Every move was unreasonable and mostly silly.

The gun-battle was among the worst.

The cut was terrible, obviously there was only junk to choose from.

There was simply not a single good thing to say about this movie.

Science mostly ok, good actors, but no story, only a long chain of plot holes
5 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
As many mentioned already the scientific background is ok, meaning, there are no huge mistakes. The concept of a large radius spinning station on cables is unique and definitely a good future concept.

The actors are good, however, one would hope, that more stable characters would be chosen for any long-term space mission.

But then... The often used storyline of a group of people, marooned on an island with not enough resources to sustain them all is getting old. It was not well conducted, the conflicts not well played, conflicting facts came out of nowhere, noone checked.

To transfer this into space, a large number of huge plot-holes had to be introduced: An additional person (why? Unnecessary) That maintenance person fell asleep and somone bolted a panel over him (WTF?) A damage to a life-support system which, for some reason, is important but there are no redundencies.

Even though in orbit around earth, a substitute for the broken shoe-carton sized device cannot be hauled up.

A pick-up of the surplus person cannot be organized.

The unsafe way of handling the climb up the rope, lousy tethering etc. They would get fired from any reasonable company I give one point for science.

Trying but failing too often

The storyline is simple and quite predictable, I will not spoiler it. No problem with that. There are some great actors and some good ideas. However the good ideas are then stretched out beyond "a bit silly" to completely stupid. Someone should have slapped the writers hand a bit more, when they overdid it.

Excellent comedy with many unexpected turns
3 August 2020
German comedy is often a bit shallow and predictable. This one, once you accept the premise of the phones revealing everything in one evening, is delightful in its many turns and surprises. The dialogue is witty and clever. Yes, there is homophobia and other non PC things going on, but they take a turn and "fix" it again on the fly. And yes, it does carry a message: Communicate! Whatever the cost, not communicating is worse. My full recommendation.

For All Mankind: A City Upon a Hill (2019)
Season 1, Episode 10

An epic finale, but it busted all credibility built over 9 fantastic episodes in just 1 episode
21 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I am so disappointed of this episode. Don't get me wrong, the whole series is fantastic, good acting, incredible special effects, believable characters, very contemporary science aware, well thought out. What I admired the most was their meticulous attention to detail, I probably only discovered half of it, but it was just amazing. How they honoured the Mercury 13 women's team, Molly Cobb, how they finally gave Wernherr von Braun the send-off he deserved. How they incorporated error 1202, Margo Madison as a tribute to Margaret Hamilton etc. etc. Each and every step they made sure that they stay on the reality side, making as many references to the real Apollo program and the real world in politics (Nixon the a-hole, Teddy the womanizer) and the real people and attitudes (John Glenn being prejudiced to women as another example). And then.....This.

Yes, it was a great storyline in this episode. But how, just HOW? ..can the LEM, lift off with its undercarriage, fly back and land, lift off again, and then, on top of it all...on a few drops left in another LEM, re-inject itself into earth orbit? This puts the science-based show completely on the fairytale side. What a waste. It seems almost unnecessary to point out all the other plotholes: A tether line that holds the entire 3rd stage of a Saturn V while accelerating with a huge amount of thrust. The grapple hooks attached to the thin aluminium can hold that load? Tracy has superpowers to unhook the line? What a terrible, terrible betrayal to the otherwise great show.
