I stumbled across this movie while browsing the Internet a couple of years ago and after reading the plot of the movie I had to watch it. After watching it, I sat at my computer for 10 minutes thinking about weather I liked the movie or not. After 10 minutes I had decided that this was the worst thing that Lars Von Trier ever did. This film was so bad that I thought about weather I'd keep watching the director's movies or not. The acting in this movie just sucks and while I was watching the movie i kept pausing it to go do something else because I knew I wasn't going to make it out watching this movie alive. I paused the movie 20 times and watched the movie within in the course of a month. Sure Von Trier was trying the best he could to make a movie that could entertain and don't get me wrong he has made some good movies like Breaking The Waves (1996) or Europa (1991) for example. But this film is him at his worst.

Now I've seen the other Romeo & Juliet films and they were decent enough but this 2013 film shows that you can't trust certain people with certain source material. I saw this movie just a couple of days ago for the first time. I wasn't thinking that this film was going to be great, but I didn't expect it to be this bad. The whole film looks low quality and rushed and I honestly feel bad for every actor who was involved in this film as they look like they wished they were somewhere else. The chemistry between the two leads is lacking, the script was fine I guess, the music was okay and the sets look they came from a high school play. But the biggest flaw this film has is how it nearly ruined two surprisingly good actors for me. Another thing that I dislike about the movie is how it looks like a high school play. Overall, if you want to watch a Romeo and Juliet movie, I suggest avoid this one and watch the 1996 movie. You'll get more enjoyment out of watching that movie rather than this one and one thing I like about this movie is that I'll never be forced to watch this movie ever again.

When I found out this movie existed, I knew I had to watch it. After watching it I just found out I wasted over an hour of my life. However, the concept is so bad that this film is charming in a so bad it's good way. The cheesy acting and awful effects are just apart of the horrific experience.

Why was this film made? Bad acting, bad cinematography, bad music. Is this the worst film ever made? Well it's certainly a contender for that title. If you haven't seen this already, then don't put yourself through torture.
