BloodRayne II: Deliverance (2007)
Criminals have been Executed for less.
Watching this movie makes me wonder how Uwe Boll hasn't been incarcerated, let alone still alive after this box office bomb. I honestly don't see how he secured a sequel, let alone being able to make a trilogy. Before, the BloodRayne game franchise might have been able to become more then two titles, however the first movie killed this and this movie just rapes it's corpse.
But to be honest, it is somewhat better then the original, but there are some features from the original that could have made this movie somewhat surpass a 2/10 rating. Ranye has become less of a heroine and more of a rag-doll for her enemies pleasure of releasing the built up stress of their eternal vampire lives, AND AGAIN DOES NOT FOLLOW A PRESET TIMELINE OF THE ORIGINAL GAME!! It makes me wonder that if he just liked the time-lines of these two movies, if he did he should write his own damn movie and not stuff up a somewhat successful and very popular game franchise.
I'm not particularly looking forward to the third, however, Boll promised it would follow the first games plot line, (Talk about third time's the charm.) hopefully a new writer can redeem this fallen franchise, though i'm not holding my breath.
Dead Rising (2006)
Survivor A.I.
For all the praise Dead Rising has gotten there is The Major Flaw. The survivors seem to be more brain-dead then the Zombies. When a survivor is following you it takes roughly 5 seconds before the survivor moves with you, or follows an instruction given. Another survivor flaw is their priorities, when following the player in a straight, non-zombie path the will become sidetracked and run into a mob of zombies and attempt to fight their way out, this proves difficult as effective weapons to kill the zombies do more damage to the Survivor. Other flaw is the ledge before the air duct n the roof of the mall, the only entrance to the safety of the Security Room. I had somehow managed to rescue and lead seven survivors to this part of the journey and spent another 5 minutes to get them up onto the ledge as none of them seem to have the manners to let someone else go first. The reason of this flaw is that survivors can only climb up on section of the ledge, and each try to run to the section at the same time, the result is that you have 5 survivors running into each other.
Being on the Xbox 360, you would think that Capcom would release an update or patch to allow these survivors to possess a basic High School education, however it has been a year and no update has been announced or released.
Dawn of the Dead (2004)
Unconvincing Ana.
The main character Ana, played by Sarah Polley was just unconvincing. She serves as the moral one of the group, a know-it-all about the Zombie plague, unless the other characters were as brain-dead as the Zombies howling for the flesh, i could not see how this group could have thought up the idea of the mall. I'd have a rough guess that she would have figured the head shot out if had not been for television. Don't think I'm sexist but i cannot believe that a woman, who is a nurse at a hospital, survived to the point that she got to the mall. *Spoiler* When her group goes into the mall and are attacked by the first Zombie, not only did she pick up the fallen shotgun and wound the zombie despite the fact that there was another guy there with a gun, but she didn't give the shotgun back to the trained professional who had a shallow cut on his wrist, not a accuracy dampening wound. This era of female hero's can be believable if played by good characters, if Jennifer Garner played this role, not only would it have worked it would have been a bigger hit. Throughout the siege Ana single-handedly figures out that the bites transfer the infection and guilts and manipulates Michael. Overall, Ana's character was just unconvincing.
I must add that getting a head shot is extremely hard unless you are a professional, and honestly the only looking professional there was Kenneth, and Andy (but he owns a gun shop, he has training). I noticed that most shots in the movie hit their marks making this group better then an average Army fire team, despite being a Security guard, a nurse, a thief, a truck driver, a Jackass (Steve), his girlfriend?, etc.
WWE Monday Night RAW (1993)
Raw on a Downfall.
Since most of the big names such as The Rock and Stone Cold have left to pursue movie careers, WWE has now slowed down. Championship titles never change hands between Main Events and Most title matches end in disqualification (Where a title cannot change hands.) John Cena and Edge Fueds, DX and McMahon feuds are good, the Short Jeff Hardy and Nitro feud with Jeffs' view on Nitro's interviews were like "watching Paint Dry" was hilarious. If Raw was still was like it was in 2000-2002 with the "Invasion" this would be much better, since now its just Heel and Face wrestlers mostly talking, if they're lucky like The Spirit Squad and have 5 members, matches are easier to win, as long as the referee is distracted. Also, "Escorts" such as Nitro with Melina and Edge with Lita see the referee distracted while a normally disqualifying offense is created.
