Explained (2018)
"US-splaining"
Some of the episodes are good, but some seem to be inflammatory and highly biased to one side as well as patronising to many types of people. Typical US-splaining with no truly informed research backing it up. Quite disappointing really. Not the way to help people learn.
Love Life (2020)
I'm so glad I watched this on a whim
I really loved this show.. I could connect the different events with my own experiences and just became engrossed in the character's lives. I loved how typically 'taboo' subjects are just written into their everyday lives with no stereotypical drama.. Beautifully written, beautiful acting and easy to watch. So glad I found it on bbc Iplayer!
Jojo Rabbit (2019)
Honestly one of the best movies I've seen in a long time
A genuinely beautiful balance between comedy, love, wit and the earth shattering trauma of war. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!
Ambulance (2016)
The best reality documentary.. hands down
This show has everything.. drama, comedy, thriller, horror.. BUT. This is real life. This is everyday life of paramedics and call handlers. This is a reality check for the UK nation.
Interview with a Murderer (2016)
Worryingly biased
I am just watching this now. Incredibly biased against the suspect. Thankfully it's just a tv show and not an official investigation, but it does make me question the integrity of the forensic specialist Dr Wilson.. especially with so little evidence.. just hear say.. and getting the little evidence he had from the mother of a man who was actually convicted of the murder!!! Very poor professionalism. I hope Dr Wilson doesn't do this when he consults for police forces on official business...
