Nope (2022)
Pleasantly surprised
I saw all the bad reviews when it was first released, so I decided to watch it through a streaming platform that was showing it for free. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked Nope. It's filmed well, has interesting characters with good acting, and the story makes sense. It has some creepy moments and a little bit of tension sprinkled in. But I think I liked it mainly because I wasn't expecting much and had read that it's slow. I felt like it was worth my time to watch it. I'm done with my review and I didn't use enough characters to post, so here's a joke:
What did King George think of the colonists in America?
He thought they were revolting.
Fresh (2022)
Couldn't finish because it was nauseating
I like horror movies, even slasher flicks, but this one turned my stomach. I found it disgusting and too disturbing both physically and psychologically. The title is very clever for what the movie is.
Mon chien Stupide (2019)
Enjoyable, but not about a dog
I enjoyed this movie, but I do think it is geared toward middle age or older adults. There are some light hearted moments and a few moments that made me laugh a little. The scenes with the dog were good. I wouldn't truly call it a comedy and the drama wasn't too heavy(it didn't make me cry, cringe or cheer). I can see how some viewers found it boring, but I could understand where all the characters were coming from, and I also enjoyed a lot of the dialogue which made me enjoy the movie.
