The Wall (2019)
Danny Dyer doesn't work for us but the format is tedious in itself too.
Not sure why the format for this show has gone around the world allegedly. It's a quiz show. As such you answer questions. The questions seem average pub quiz level. Don't get the point of Danny's "catchphrases" of 'is it right or is it wrong ' or 'wall release the ball' with the accompanying hand rubbing. That in itself will never make me watch another episode again. One contestant answers the questions in isolation, the other feeds the balls into the machine. Why do the ball need feeding into a machine when in the first part of the show it was automatic other than for the purpose of drawing out viewing time. It adds nothing to the 'suspense'. The only vaguely entertaining bit is if the launched balls fall into a high or low prize slot. No, not watching this one again despite partner and I being quiz show fans.
The Wheel (2020)
One episode seen. No more
It's a quiz show. In one long dreary hour it gets to about 6 questions over which the contestant agonises with the "celebrity". Spinning a wheel with people sitting in a circle like on a fairground ride whilst playing Christmas pop songs to determine who to pair with etc is slow, time consuming and adds nothing to the game. Seen one, won't bother with another. Just because Michael Mcintyre hosts this show doesn't make it fun. Stick with the stand-up Michael, we don't need him on everything
