For All Mankind: Seven Minutes of Terror (2022)
Up in the air (figuratively speaking)
We don't know what happened with Ed yet... from what I saw, they landed, just haven't communicated yet. It's possible they beat the NASA team to Mars... whether they stepped out or not, who knows. Guess we'll find out next week!
Person of Interest: Reassortment (2016)
Too true to the reality happening today...
I just rewatched this episode as the newest coronavirus has started to attack China and the rest of the world and it amazes me how prescient this program and episode is and perhaps has been and will be in the years to come.
The final portion about the true purpose of the vaccine sends shivers down my spine and believe me, I'm not an antivaxxer. Just proves how great POI was and still is. I hope one day it gets the recognition it so richly deserves. Possibly the best series on TV, along with Breaking Bad.
Stargate SG-1: Bane (1998)
Interesting...
Great work by Christopher Judge (as usual), but especially by Colleen Dennison, who played the young girl Ally, but also plays the character Cassandra, the young girl that had a Go'uld bomb in her and who was adopted by Dr. Fraiser.
Alien Hunter (2003)
Not bad
Just woke up on a Saturday morning and this movie was just beginning on SciFi... I'd seen the name before, but honestly did not expect much, specifically because of the name, it's terrible and does not describe this movie at all. So not expecting much, I was more than pleasantly surprised! I had no idea James Spader was in it and he played the role well, mainly because he didn't need to act much. The plot was similar to a number of other films as folks have mentioned, but sufficiently different enough to keep you guessing. For a made for TV movie, I thought it was well done and would recommend it to anybody who is looking for some decent scifi. While it would have been much better broadcast in HD (the channel was, the movie wasn't), it was good entertainment with which to start the weekend. Now if they'd just change that frackin' name...
