Old (2021)
Plenty of food for thought.
The plot is well known at this stage but this film was thoroughly entertaining for me and my fellow watchers and I felt it had a lot of subliminal messages about appreciating what time you have left on the planet.
Bigger than normal cameo from the director but it worked well considering the way the film panned out
Recommended.
Let Him Go (2020)
Top Class
Mr Costner and Diane Lane perfectly cast as the grandparents of a child who ends up in a family on the wrong side of the tracks. Casting in the whole movie is top notch.
If you have a grandchild you will be particularly riveted by this story.
Dice (2016)
If you like Diceman you'll love this.
Nice mixture of comedy blended with a very self deprecating Clay making up an unmissable combination.
He has a sidekick "Milkshake" who is the perfect straight man to play opposite the hilarious Dice.
Not sure how people who don't know him will get on with it though.
Unhinged (2020)
Russell chews the scenery (and just about everything else for that matter)
A portly Crowe goes totally bananas and trashes half the county.
Plus points: A bit of escapism I suppose and the crashes of which there are many are well done.
Come Play (2020)
Get your 10 Year old kids + to watch.
Salutary lesson for all about the dangers of spending too much time on your phone.
The danger might not be exactly as portrayed but is definitely there.
Greenland (2020)
Gerard Butler excels.
Don't mind the bad reviews/low ratings,it's up there with the best end of the world movies I've seen.
Possum (2018)
From the Gates of Hell.
Slow burner that goes from one horrible room/location to the next in search of what is actually going on.Horrible people and creatures feature in a truly unsettling movie coupled with a bleak sound track which provides the perfect black mood that the film needs.
Put it all together and you get something that kinda defies description and while it won't be for everyone but if it is for you then you'll enjoy the dark atmosphere.
Different but well worth a look.
Whilst the plot might seem muddling and odd the loose ends are mostly well tied up at the end.
Michael Inside (2017)
Must see.
Created my account to review this movie.
The slippery slope that catches out so many kids in life is there for all to see.
Peer pressure and bullying the order of the day and it's a case of a lamb to the slaughter with collateral damage all over the place.
A very sobering realistic kick in the teeth for us all.
