Sharon Mitchell is at her most enticing in a movie with a plot that goes astray amid all the sex action, some of it quite erotic. Sharon and partner Paul Thomas are swingers who plan to blackmail artist Gregory (Kevin James) into forging a valuable painting by catching him on camera banging Nikki Charm, daughter of Sharon's lover Honey Wilder. Other early ideas aren't realised as both Sharon and then Paul have sex with attractive mature woman Honey, party guest Billy Dee gets it on with pretty Carol Titian and Summer Rose, including back-door action with the latter, Nikki and Mai Lin have an erotic three-way with Kevin, with finally art dealer Joey Silvera and a strap-on clad Mitchell taking it out on associate Lin after the scheme goes wrong, not that the latter seems to mind. Mitch's bitchy, scheming character is most enjoyable and a bit more imagination behind the camera could have lifted this out of the rut.

Not as intense as the first two in the series, Taboo 3 is weakened by the unaccountable presence of a second son, though Jerry Butler younger than Mike Ranger is a bit more believable. It is all shot with more thought and intelligence than the average explicit sex flick of the time, such as the scene where Barbara gazes at the rear view of Jerry as he humps fickle girlfriend Lisa Lake, capturing her conflicting emotions. This leads to her walking in on sexy Honey Wilder with Blake Palmer making the ensuing threesome another erotic encounter. Could be said Honey has taken over the role of sexpot mentor to Barbara previously realised by Juliet Anderson, and their seduction of pizza man Marc Wallice will be appreciated by lovers of sexually rampant mature women. Barbara's inevitable romp with Jerry is prefaced by her voluptuous figure climbing into a sexy outfit, while the very final scene of her looking radiant and happy as she looks forward to more adventures, in contrast to her angst expressed earlier, makes for an uncompromising and upbeat conclusion.

Dana Vespoli can usually be relied on to come up with something original even in such now familiar fare as faux incest couplings. In this case it's MILFs and sociopathic, creepy stepsons.

Perhaps most memorable of the four vignettes has the ravishing Jasmine Jae uneasily alone with the convincingly menacing Nathan Bronson, a mixture of fear and arousal leading to a satisfying sexual encounter in a very hot scene, followed by a sinister revelation. India Summer's acting experience is evident as she half-heartedly resists the creepy Logan Pierce but is overwhelmed by lust and curiosity. Alexis Fawx is all dressed up for a night on the town with 'the girls' but Seth Gamble has discovered she's in fact indulging her pastime of being banged by a younger man, so why not him if dad's not to find out about the others? Dana DeArmond gives the impression of being really scared by the startling advances of Alex Jett, though it's not altogether clear at first if this is just a role-playing game the two have devised. Altogether the addition of the twisted dark humour Vespoli has brought to the usual mixture raises this above the average of its type.

Paula Meadows was the non-de-plume of English erotic artist Lynn Paula Russell. She stars in this amiable light-hearted production with a slight feminist slant as the director of an improvised play in which five women explore their new found freedom and sexuality. Most of the sex, though explicit, is erotic rather than raunchy with Sharon Mitchell and Cara Lott especially notable. Sharon Kane is the one married woman whose husband George Payne is vexed because he can't find out exactly what she's up to, finally involving him in a steamy encounter with Paula Meadows and Jerry Butler after she playfully imputes the guys with having little imagination. The show is launched successfully.

The other reviewers have summed this up accurately, the one notable feature being the fabulous Marsha Jordan as the swinging wife of the doctor, bringing a lusty sense of fun to her sex scenes and ending the proceedings with a bang.
