Rüzgarli Tepe (2024)
this trainwreck of a show must be reported for extreme abuse and violence agianst women
This is not a love story. They have mislead and fooled the audience with some episodes but at episode 42, the ML continues to abuse, harrass, physically push around the FL and the writers have changed the female character from fiesty to weak, crying and pleading for her innocence yet no body believes her. There is no plot progression for 42 episodes, it just keep repeating in cycles of violence, abuse and misunderstandings. Dont waste your time like I did. Wasted 42 hours of my life on this trainwreck.
This should be renamed to "Winds of Destruction" is the horror story of Zeynep, the daughter of the wealthiest family in the town where she lives and is beloved by everyone around her, until she is evicted from her home by Halil. The psychopath Halil Firat devotes himself to misguided revenge on a helpless Aslanli family comprising of the mother and her daughters. It is the story of a repetitive cycle of abuse on a helpless women who have no male relatives to defend them and the writers made the eldest daughter weak in character despite introducing her fiesty and strong willed.
Pachinko: Chapter Seven (2022)
The standout episode made Lee Min Ho acting stand out
I'm still thinking about Hansu's expression and tears inside his eyes. I can't forget how his innocent, hopeful eyes turned into hopelessness and pain. How great his acting is!
If the actor doesn't get Emmy for this, please scrap the awards this year.
Pachinko: Chapter Four (2022)
Colonialism: Does it ever end?
Pachinko, being a generational story with universal values reminded me of classic television shows of my youth such as Tenko, and The Forsyte Saga. But what keeps me re-watching it is the deep questions it posed through the characters ruminating about the ills of colonization.
"It's too much, living with this hate. Our children will be cursed. How can all this ever end?"
