Basquiat (1996)
Taste This
This one is like a Christmas dinner except your pants won't feel two sizes too small afterwards. Jeffrey Wright is a succulent piece of delectable meat, Gary Oldman is my mashed potatoes, Benicio Del Toro adds his curious level of reason like only your best seasoned vegetable can and my Michael Wincott
he is so delicious, he is easily that forbidden piece of dessert at the end of the table that you swear you won't eat a minute before you are literally gorging yourself on it. The cast is simply pure gold.
It is so good and enchanting with a 1980's charm that is simply non-existent in other films. It is the art, music and meaning of that decade at its purest. Effortless, yet clever the dialogue gives you the sincere rise and fall of all artists.
Stay (2005)
Lovely
It's a Monet masterpiece on the wall of a New York Museum. It never fails to captivate. So lovely and odd just like art imitating life. You'll love the stills and 8mm movie reels used as our protagonist Henry's memory.
The director has such a lovely way of floating through the human mind. There are so many questions. What is reality? What is fantasy? Why do we have de ja vu? Why are we here? Why do we all have to eventually go? He sums it up with the fact that we are all connected through one common truth, existence. And one common fear, "What really is existence?" "Stay" makes you want to live life to the fullest, mindful to every moment because in life it all matters.
My Bollywood Bride (2006)
Heartfelt Film
This is authentic love at its best. Hollywood meets Bollywood in this cross-culture, cross-continent dreamy love story. Filled with lavish color and sharp wit, My Bollywood Bride takes us on a tour of exotic India to find love between two kindred spirits. If you miss boy meets girl, true romance type of passion, you will find it between Kashmira Shah and Jason Lewis within this film.
Supporting characters like Ash Chandler and Gulshan Grover provide the classic style of a Hollywood romantic comedy, while beauties like Kashmira, Neha Dubey and Madhuri Bhatia shine presenting the luxurious elegance of a Bollywood musical.
This is a heartfelt film.
