Didn't expect to like this
4 May 2024
I wasn't familiar with Nicholas or his previous roles but thought he did a great job playing a 24 year old interested in a 40 year old woman. To be fair, he was much more mature than any 24 guy I ever knew but then, Anne Hathaway is also much more youthful and attractive than most 40 year old women. :) ( The exception is my own beautiful 40+ daughter, who can easily pass for 30, but I digress. ) Their chemistry was pretty believable because of his maturity & her attractiveness, despite the age difference. I haven't read the book and based on what others are saying, I'm glad I didn't have that to compare it with. I loved the music & was thankful that Nicholas actually performed the songs himself and did a great job at it. I kept hoping for a duet since Anne sings wonderfully herself but maybe if they choose to do Part 2, they will include that. As May/December romances go, this one surpassed my expectations!

Nate Bargatze: Hello World (2023 TV Special)

So Much Fun!
5 August 2023
Nate is my kids' age not mine but we all find him absolutely relatable and hilarious!! His observational humor is so true to life and his delivery makes it that much funnier! Few comedians can make everyday life events so entertaining to such a wide age range of audiences but Nate always manages to pull it off without dropping F bombs or throwing in a lot of embarrassing material. Well, maybe embarrassing for HIM but not for viewers. Based on his stories, his wife deserves an award too!! 🤣

I've watched this more than once and laughed until I was crying every single time! Do yourself a favor and watch this immediately!! 😊

Someone should've warned me
9 April 2023
The first several seasons of this show really reeled me in but I really wish there had been a warning that the series ends abruptly in season 7 with TONS of loose ends that need tying up, including 2 main characters who might or might not be dead!! I should've guessed it would end this way when so many other characters starting leaving after a couple of seasons, with weak excuses or zero explanations. I wish I hadn't gotten so wrapped-up in staying with this one after the first few seasons. LET THIS BE YOUR WARNING!!

However, if that's not a problem for you, there are some really good performances from some known (as well as some unknown to American audiences) Irish actors/actresses. I was delighted see a very young Chris O'Dowd and, later on a very young Aidan Turner who both showed great promise in their early acting roles which we've seen grow to fruition through the years. The series is more of a soap-opera-type drama than strictly a medical drama so it attracts viewers of both types of shows.
