Pieces of a Woman (2020)
Stupid movie.
I hate to sound so crass but this movie sucked, really bad. Up until the death of the baby, the storyline began to drag into nothingness. Lots of unnecessary scenes that seem to draaaaaag. After the baby passed, my interest was leaning towards the court hearing, which they made sure to make you wait for. The horrible attitude of the main character, Martha, was the nail in the coffin. I get it, she lost her baby but why be a jerk to everyone else? No character in this movie is likable. Martha, her husband, and her mom are all jerks. Why should I care what happens to them? They all could have fell off a cliff, that would've been WAY more satisfying to watch. Martha acts like no one else's feelings matter because she lost her baby, that's basically the plot. Everything is about her and that got old very quickly. Total snooze. Womp, womp.
His Secret Marriage (2019)
Interesting
I thoroughly enjoyed watching the young John Stamos look-a-like in this flick. Nice eye candy. But c'mon Lifetime! What women is going to run from his fine self? It's not realistic at all. The movie was interesting. Sure it wasn't great. It does drag on for majority of the movie then the truth is revealed at the end. Quite suspenseful but may get boring to some. Honestly, John Stamos look-a-like kept me watching. He's sexy.
Swallow (2019)
Had potential
This movie kind of frustrated me. I get that the main character suffers from mental illness but why did they have to make her seem like such a bimbo? Her character in general was disappointing. There's this stigma attached to mental illness, pica especially, that the sufferer is dumb. The character really fed into that. I bet when people envision someone with pica they picture someone just like Hunter(the main character). Why not attempt to change the stereotype? Then again, the movie is for entertainment so I guess that worked out. A seemingly dumb girl with pica going around swallowing things and grinning about it. Real entertaining. The storyline was perfectly fine but the main character's personality killed it for me.
The Lie (2018)
Odd
It's almost like the writer got bored and decided to bring the character back. The Brittney character popping up out of thin air is beyond random. It just didn't flow with the story at all. The writer got bored, through in a plot twist, and abruptly ended the movie.
