Outlander (2014)
Fantastic Adaption
I love this series. Everything about this series; the cast, costumes, sets, production and writing. I think it's true gold. But don't trust my opinion.. watch for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
Ghost Storm (2011)
I Didn't Turn the Channel
First off, I am a fan of Steve Bacic. So discovering he was in this was a pleasant surprise.
The disappointing part was that the effects were a bit cheesy. You'd think with the advancement in special effects and what's available now that they would have thought of something better than blowing the victims up like bricks and leaving dust behind. I'm guessing the guy with the trigger finger had fun though.
As for the characters and story, I have to say I enjoyed it. For this gal not to have turned the channel or turned the TV off...that's a big thing for me. I can't be bothered with crap anymore and the movie held me..so there you go!
Imagine my shock when I googled the movie in IMDb and discovered it had a 3.5. That is so not fair in my opinion. I think in all fairness, it deserves a 6!
Bitten (2014)
Won Me Over
I have read all of the Women of the Underworld books in the series. Bitten is just the first in the series and Clay is definitely my favorite character in all 13 books of the series. I was unsure in the beginning. I had my own idea of what the enforcer from the bayou of Louisiana (who's spoken endearment of Darlin') should look like and it wasn't Greyston Holt. He has since won me over.
As for Laura Vandervoort's portrayal of Elena...never a doubt with that pick. She is just as I imagined her.
Now...will the other women of the book series join the TV series. That is the question!
