One REALLY IMPORTANT point.
10 September 2001
I just think it is mildly important to point out what is actually happening in the book and the movie that gets missed a lot. This is not a sci-fi movie, Billy Pilgram is NOT really unstuck in time, and he does NOT go to an alien planet. He is just a guy who lives a really horrible life and finally snaps. The movie and the book are a collection of flashbacks of real events from his past, delusions of fictional experiences in the future, and moments of clarity in present time. Billy Pilgram is actually sitting at his chair in front of a type-writer and the reader/viewer is watching what is going on in his head the entire time. The narrator isn't able to distinguish reality from fantasy.
