Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire (2023)
What a mess
If this is supposed to be a new Star Wars like epic. It fails on so many levels. The fight sequences are too long and the dialogue mostly dreary. Where's the lighter moments that you need. Drop the flashback sequences and keep people in the present,
Sadly this film suffers from the same symptoms as many modern sci-fi films, lots of CGI and poor plot. I was an hour and half in and still didn't know what the good guys were actually looking for. It was also too obvious who the girl was because of the flashbacks. Leave us some intrigue to work out slowly. I doubt I will bother with any next part.
2001: A Space Travesty (2000)
Truly appalling.
What were they thinking. This is the most unfunny comedy film I've ever seen. What it tries to pass off as comedy is sexist and childish. It's almost as if they lifted a script from the 1970s.
The First Lady (2022)
What an editing mess
So you've got three main story arcs plus flashbacks for each story. I've only watched one episode and won't be bothering with the rest. It's got a stella cast and my rating is no reflection on the them. The intertwining stories are a mess and it's far too difficult to follow. Please re-edit the show and stick to one First Lady per episode and it might even be watchable.
Julia (2022)
Absolutely superb.
Sarah Lancashire is brilliant casting and the story excellent. This should be in the running come award season. A few liberties are always taken to make good drama.
Don't listen to any sayers who complain about discrimination sub-plots. These things happened in the 1960s and should be documented.
Call Me Kat: Call Me Kerfuffled (2022)
A call back to a show no-one remembers
What an appalling storyline. Not at all funny. What were the writers thinking. You can't base an entire episode on a show that people either didn't see or can't remember,
