Live PD (2016)
Proof we live in a police state, with a smile:)
If there was ever a clearer window in which to look through at the world we live in today, than 'Live PD' is one of the more compelling shows to watch that reveal the true horror that our society now seems to accept as normal. Its sad to see how militarized the police have become right across the country since 9/11. At times I see the police as bully's with smiles talking politely to their clients in today's slang, bro, but yell and jump on you if you do not comply to their wishes. One thing, among many, that I notice is that every vehicle pulled over get's inspected with the occupant's hand cuffed most times, live. It seems no one pulled over is told by the officer, 'You have a tail light out so here is a warning to get it fixed, now be on your way and get it fixed, and have a nice day'. Everyone is now guilty until they can prove their not despite what they say. We've become a very brutal society while saying how we should love each other. On the other hand people are still doing things they shouldn't and the police definitely show they have a nose for it by how many are guilty of something that they investigate. I give it a 10 because you're seeing the truth and actions are always the proof of the truth. Driving a vehicle, riding a bike, walking down the street or just hanging out with a friend or two can so easily be disrupted now a days if one doesn't learn from what this show is teaching them. This kind of show teaches people to live in fear, and not from any terrorist. I wonder what tomorrow will bring?
Battleship (2012)
Another Mindless Movie for Moron's who can't spell Intellectual...neither could the film makers
Yes yes yes, yet another awful Mindless Movie for Moron's who can't spell Intellectual, let alone even understand what the word actually means and refers too....in fact neither could the film makers. How old is the director and his script writing buddies, 12 or 13? I thought the part where the old seadogs show up to help drive the battleboat to get the aliens was down right embarrassing. The only thing Hollywood knows how to do these days is spend gobs of money, probably from the government, on garbage that supports the warring military as that seems to be the vocal point of all the aliens coming to attack earth movies this century. The only intelligent thing about this film was the ability to create it, and yes its fun to watch all the silly bloodless mayhem, but enough is enough when all that visual technology is wasted on the continual American propaganda to make people fear what isn't true. Its purposely aimed at the dumb down young kids of today so as to get them to want to join the military. Is that what young people still really want to do these days? Kill, and Kill someone they don't know? All these types of movies only prove that we are being lead by the wrong leaders, and to prove my point its the Americans who shoot first and ask no questions in this movie. (There was a hidden meaning in that many will miss) Also the reason there are so many clichés in this film is because its cheaper than originality, and cheap has never been so expensive. But then, in the language of the people who think this film had something of value to say, duhhh U C this pic I rea rea like it. Goosh_t man. Do you think Hollywood is trying to brainwash people by hiding what their really doing in plain sight? Reading the other reviews I see some see it but most don't. I guess making a film where the aliens come in peace and with a higher level intelligence to help show mankind the error of the New World Orders way, without any armies of mindless soldiers firing away at everything, must be against the law or the new rules of modern day film making. Who really controls Hollywood these days? I know its not me. I rather believe if you've figured out how to travel though space at faster than the speed of light, because the distances are just to great and would take to long to travel anywhere at any lesser speeds, then you would have no need to be aggressive, as there is nothing here on this planet that can't easily be found throughout the universe as they would have the technological ability to find whatever resources they need without having to kill other intelligent like forms. It seems all these childish film makers have totally forgotten all about the Prime Directive. In closing I'd like to say that I'm glad I don't have to pay to see these films, otherwise I would have nothing to say. And to my friend Phil, thanks for inviting me over to watch. Now I know, and now I lay me down to sleep and pray for a grownup version of ET.
The Innkeepers (2011)
No middle ground here, you either like it or what a waste
No middle ground here, you either like it or what a waste of time. Most actors and actresses we see in what would be considered professionally made films these days, are actually quite good at their jobs I find, so 3 other possibilities that make or brake a film could be how well the script was ritten, edited, and how well the director knows how to be a good director rather than thinking they know how to be a great director. What can also make for a good director is how many producers the director can talk into investing in the film, as this films writer/director Ti West, was able to get 8 people, lucky, I think they may be farmers who like watching their crops grow that he was able to get to partake in his great idea for a horror film. A film I feel will appeal more to a couch potato, as sitting around doing nothing other than watching what others do, rather than to someone who likes running around the block looking at what's on their wrist every so often, because this film The Innkeepers, is like watching snails having sex without ever doing it, and to say it was even remotely compared to The Shining, well that would be a flat out misunderstanding of the word montion. Extremely slow and laborious reach new levels of glorious non excitement in this film. The idealistic less than high school script writing and direction, stand out as being just that, while I did feel the actors were quite competent and did as good as they could with what they had and were told how to work with it. But watching the main character not knowing what she's really doing for someone who's supposed to be enthusiastic about finding a ghost, but instead is throughout the film afraid of her own shadow, was to the point of being embarrassing and difficult to watch. Pointing as deeply as one could to where the food went that they just ate would be just as enjoyable as this film. There are a couple of JUMP moments, but a 10 second roller coaster ride really is a waste of time to get on, as well as a story that doesn't come together well at all, well what story?
So in closing, if your looking for a new meaning to boring, thennnnnn thissssssss filmmmmmmm issssssss forrrrrrrr youuuuuuuuuuuuuu...... ahhhhhhhhhh if less than minimal becomes fashionable, then this film will have its day.
The Darkest Hour (2011)
Yet another mindless piece of totally illogical film making for dumbed down generation
Yet another mindless piece of totally illogical film making for dumbed down people, which like all the rest, would have us believe aliens, in any form, need to invade earth, kill all life, and take what is actually more plentiful out in space than here on earth. I've always enjoyed science fiction stories and films the most, but I have to ask why for over the last 30 years there's been such heavy propaganda in constantly releasing to the public sci-fi films of this type? It appears the mainstream film companies are trying to make what's left of us intelligent people, believe that much higher life forms need to destroy humanity because only earth in all of the universe has what all these evil aliens want who come from planets 10's to 100's of light years away. Of course the real reason is because all those nasty foreigners watched too many idiotic films like this one.
Its become shameful that Hollywood doesn't release science fiction films that portray visiting aliens that come in peace so as to get to know us, which many believe has already happened and continues to still happen. Of course if Hollywood does have peaceful aliens, then they have to send in the military to blast the peaceful visitors back to their planet because no humans in charge have the courage to be curious and pleasant.
We are taught constant fear and loathing from our governments, which is so sadly and constantly reflected in the films we're given to watch these days, and many have been subconsciously brainwashed to believe that most films, especially ones like this rubbish, needs to have violence as the precursor before one can ENJOY watching it.
If there was a more even mix of films released by Hollywood, then I doubt this one would've stood out to me as much as it does, and in that context I would've not been down on it so heavily even though I did find the film somewhat boring. But there is good news for those of you who did enjoy this film, and that is there's more on the way in the new year.
Hmmm...as a student of history most of my life, nowhere have I ever come across in the history books and what we've been taught to believe, that aliens from another planet, not from another country on this planet, have attacked earth people and been front page news that people still talk about today. Actions are the Proof of the Truth. So why do we allow the truth to be turned into lies so often today, as the films released by the mainstream are a reflection of what we don't want to be like. But we do live in hope. Maybe when they make the sequel the Aliens will have realised their wrong doing wasn't cool and befriend the humans so we never have to pay an electric bill again.
Getting High in the Barrio (2010)
Wow! Now I know I'm on the wrong planet......
Wow! Now I know I'm on the wrong planet. I would have given it a 0 rating but that would have meant the film never existed. But since it does I gave it 1. So having struggled to watch this film about 2 Bozo's who were the most unfunny comedy duo I've even seen on the screen, which I gathered is what passes for a Cheech & Chong film of today, I sadly have to say I found it to be an insult to good creative intelligent comedy. What made Cheech & Chong classic cult comedy was that there was hardly any slang words or overt violence with blood, as there was a needless overabundance of it in this film. Are these film makers so dumbed down that "Eat shi. and die mouther......" with bloody violence is the only way they feel they can make people laugh these days? Sorry but reality these days just isn't funny any longer. A lot of potential was wasted. But having said that I would urge you see this film so you can say to your friends not to see it being a waste of 90 minutes from ones life. I just couldn't see what was so funny about the Mexican gang culture, or any culture where kindness and love have no place because selfish greed and oneself is all that matters. I think the people have been brainwashed the wrong way enough. Now let me tell you about a film that was worth the price of its ticket........
