Soof (2013)
Colossal waste of time
Totally illogical, nothing de than a mosh mash of hap snap scenes
There is no chemistry, Kasper's character is poorly thought through. Camera work is poor. Thinking more bad stuff is just a waste of time writing a review.
Ending scene is unexpected and not believable
Potentially one of the worst romcoms I've ever seen and pains me to say as it was recorded in a nearby town. Had hoped for at least something half way decent.
The Children Act (2017)
Awesome, triggered discussion
My wife and I ended up having futile discussions on whether the acting and story was awesome or oustanding.
The story sucked us in, the acting was convincing. Don't expect an easy movie. Expect an emotional and well thought through movie, filmed sometimes as theatre. Definite recommendation. The 6.7 score so far is much too low for the beautiful work it is!
The 4400 (2004)
Great story, shame only four seasons
My girlfriend has been a fan of Buffy (and later on me too). Not because of the handsome Angel, but because of the solid story line and interesting development of it. The 4400 have a solid and intriguing story line just the same.
Starting out with the Ability of the Week, the series quickly develop into a sophisticated, ever changing plot. People change sides, by actions of themselves, by others or by no action at all. 4400 vs non-4400, later on a more grayish good vs evil. Everyone however is choosing the side with solid reasoning. The 4400 draws parallels with our world, highlighting that good and evil can exist and evolve from information available, logic thereof, actions, and the consequences from that.
I am hooked to it and regret deeply there have been only four seasons. I have rarely seen a highly sophisticated and continuously interesting series.
Perhaps it is because of the above mentioned sophisticated story line that the series are highly appreciated by both men and women of various ages (see voting on this site)
