nice Christmas movie that shows some family problems
26 December 2006
The 6 year old Tim Hering was asking from an old men if he knows where his "Beutolomäus" is. The strange thing is, that he knows from every young child he is asking in the street the name. From older children, like his 11 year old sister Lili, or adults he doesn't know the name.

Beutolomäus is the gift sack from Santa Claus. In this sack he can put all presents for all children in the world.

Tim finds out quickly, that this old men must be Santa Claus. Together with his older sister he goes with Santa to search for Beutolomäus. Lili doesn't think any more, that Santa exists. But as she see, that Santa has "Christmas magic" like doors, where he can go from every place to the north pole, she begins to believe again to Santa Claus.

The three finds Beutolomäus at the house from Baron Raffelberg. He collects all magical things of the world. Beutolomäus is the last thing he needs for his collection. Santa and the kids could catch the evil Baron.

Tims Christmas wish also came true. We wants to have his father at Christmas. His parents are singled. And his father never hat time. But as this children were gone, the parents were together searching for the children. As they both worry about their children, the family came closer together again. So the father will be at Christmas at the family.

* Beutolomäus is a Christmas mascot for the German television KiKa.

* The "Santa Claus" in this movie made some things different to the American Santa. He never says "Ho, Ho, Ho"; he hates this. And none of the reindeer's have a red nose.

* This is a nice Christmas movie, which shows a little bit the problems a lot of children have today. That their parents are singled.

* A nice movie for young children and for the family.

Nice dutch Christmas movie that shows integration problems
4 December 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This movie gives with an six year old child fun for young children. But the death of the pony is very hard for very young children to see, so it should be watched with together with older people. The children will love to see this movie, because all children will love to have the horse of Sinterclaas. And for adult people the movie is also interesting, to see how the integration of the Chinese people in the dutch traditions will work. Also for kids it's interesting to see how are Christmas traditions in other countries than the USA.

Failure in the movie: A very strange thing is the start from the movie. You see on a map how the plane with Winky flies from China to the Netherlands. On this map Germany is still separated in the BRD and DDR. But the movie is from 2005! at a time when Germany is again one country.
