Moldy (2015)
typical supplement marketing piece
It's gotten to be a bad trope, but here we are with advertising at near feature-length.
So we have this 'documentary', filmed by the Bulletproof company, and starring the bulletproof CEO, explaining the scientific aspects of mold.
Oh wait, sorry. What we have is a guy with a Bachelors in computer science showing why he went with an MBA - to make money. This is not a documentary, it's a science-fiction/fantasy piece, that tries to legitimize a massive scam.
What is claimed to be science usually isn't, and when it is, it's presented out of context to be deliberately misleading. Throughout there's hints and tips (some using some sophisticated NLP) to buy his products. This is nothing but a 61 minute advert for his products.
It's quite frankly embarrassing (almost as much as when Dave Asprey got laughed out of biohacking talks for getting basic facts wrong.
There's a saying that those that can, do; those that know, teach.
Well, if you can't do and don't know, the only thing you can do is start a supplements business and make things up to sell 'woo' to, as Asprey demonstrates here.
You really want to be healthier? And if you want a guaranteed way to add an extra hour onto your life? Then avoid exhibition in self-indulgent film that's so bad, he had to have his own coffee company make it because no-one else would.
And remember, this documentary is endorsed by 0 out of ALL of the scientists who do actual peer-reviewed work in this field.
