Like other reviewers, I can't really understand the awful reviews of this film. Yeah - it's not the best, but for an action/thriller movie, it's a good nights entertainment. It literally starts from the first scene and grabs you and takes you on a great ride. Yeah - a little predicable, but a really enjoyable action movie..

I'm watching this film tonight 37 years after seeing it for the first time. I've seen this film maybe 30/40 times and each time I watch it, I fall in love with it all over again. It's funny heart warming and the music is just amazing. Definitely one of my all time favourite films....

I was so looking forward to seeing this film... and boy.. was I disappointed... yes it looks great visually but the script is awful and the acting not great , especially from people who are normally brilliant... or judi dench and even Kenneth Branagh...,, just a big disappointment

We watched this film last night - not really knowing to much about it. at 2 hours 20 minutes it's quite long. as said previously - it's a 3 'act' film, which all comes together in the end. I love the 'feel' of the film. reminded me a little of 'crash' the way you have several stories all going on that all come together in the end. there were times during the film - that i found it quite uncomfortable to watch, but when the movie picks you up - boy does it thrill. there are times when it's really slow also - but stick with it. the music in the film is brilliant, especially the track used for the end titles. This is a film - i'm glad i've seen - but not sure if I would buy it for my movie collection. would I recommend it?? - absolutely - but stick with it... don't give in and you'll be rewarded in the end.
