Slaughtered Vomit Dolls (2006)
I don't follow the crowd.
Warning!: I am a fan of the following films.
1. Cannibal Holocaust 2. August Underground 1-3 3. Murder Set Pieces 4. Showgirls
That being stated.
I actually like this film, though some (or most) would have you believe it to be utter dog waste.
Why?
It is it's own film, it's entertaining & most importantly it is in itself it's own piece of original artistic celluloid.
This being said, I didn't find it irritating as others have stated with the shaky camera or the jilted motion mind poison,it only added to the films intoxicating rhythm.
Not a gore churner like the August Underground films, but does have it's moments of sweet bread delights.
I can't say I'd recommend it to a gore-hound on the blood alone, or possibly at all.
For lover's of original stand alone flicks, I'd highly recommend it.
Also great for "Roman Shower" fetishist's, or drunken fraternity serial killers.
The sequel looks to be even more promising.
Thank You LV666!
Ah, refreshing.
Chaos (2005)
sad movie? what do you expect? it's actually watchable.
this movie's a seven, why? because even though it's a rip off it still entertains & shocks. here's a non spoiler list of why then reasons why
1. "this movie is sad"-reviewer, yeah what do you expect a film boasting as "themost brutal film ever made" -ta be, happy? 2. gore, even though there isn't much, holds up! 3. the story has it's quirky moments to lighten up the intense atmosphere.
4. this movie could happen just like another reviewer stated bout me th-amphetamine users 5. the world is an ugly place.
6. i refuses to give in to the other remake pg-13 level hip & cool quick camera b.s. crap thats killing horror.
now why it isn't a ten, it's a blatant rip off, and they released an r-rated version if your gonna make a movie called the most brutal film ever leave it that way, don't be a coward. plus all the extras on the unrated disk suck. commentary sucks, extras are so cheesy it'll make you wonder if you really like the film.
beware the r-rated it's awful!
fans of gore hound cinema will no doubt find the film an unrelenting enjoyable ride on a rainy Saturday afternoon.
cozy up with someone you love and be glad your safe, for now anyway.
Blood Sabbath (1972)
witches & vets,dyanne thorn&lsd?
i give this one an "8".it's not perfect though i do really like it. it's likesome late night psychedelic folk-lore. the film is available on pal format but not ntsc unfortunately. i'd highly recommend it to anyone who loves psychedelic skin flicks or witch films in general. i often find myself double billing it with "the dunwich horror"-basically due to the time frame of the films as they really don't have much in common except for the psychedelic factor. i have to say check it out, though be for warned your not in for a thrill ride here. but it does have dyanne thorn so your definitely in for eye-popping visuals there. this cinefiend says "tune in turn on and hit play".
Surf II (1983)
best 80's comedy guaranteed.
first off , why isn't this on DVD? it really should be, especially if you consider he fact that joysticks is now available on DVD. this movie really is an instant party as well as a non-pharmacutical cure for groans etc. i first saw this flick on hbo, when i was eight, didn't see it again till i was 15 and found it in a video store, i rented it over a hundred times and eventually wore their copy out. i now own 3 copies on VHS, with no vcr. this should tell you something about me and the movie. basically we're both insane. the movie is full of great 80's players, and really great music, everything from oingo-boingo to the stray cats to the circle jerks. if your starting up a DVD company, or you already have one do yourself & the rest of the cinephile community a favor & release this film! if you've never seen this film by all means check it out, you'll never fully recover.the only other truly 80's lost on DVD classic i can compare my love for this film to is student bodies. now repeat after me -- "buzz is the cola that we drink, we must have it, come and get it-buzz!"-- quit reading and watch the movie!- f.c.
Student Bodies (1981)
greatest horror parody ever
if you grew up in the 80's had HBO and were addicted to television & or your video store chances are you'e seen this one. i love this movie, scream ,scary movie etc. owe it big time to this one. if this movie doesn't make you laugh then your already dead should be the re-release catch phrase to this movie, it's not big on nudity or gore, and in the middle of the film there is an explanation to why it's rated "r".(hilarious). the movies got everything, wooden horse heads, teenage virgins, weird creepy janitor-pre freddy krueger i might add. i've often double billed this film with another lost 80's gem the "surf 2". why these films aren't available on DVD is beyond me. i've said it before but here goes- if you are starting or already have a video release company please release these films! if you love 80's horror check this one out or your just in love with funny movies check it out. you'll die laughing.--nuff said.
