Trump vs the Illuminati (2020)
An enjoyable animated sci-fi parody/satire
I found this to be an enjoyable animated sci-fi parody/satire. Cool visuals and some well-written, fun, intentionally over-the-top dialog as well. The Trump in this movie is much more likable than the real .I give this an 8/10.
G-Loc (2020)
A worthwhile watch
Another futuristic sci-fi thriller that's rated much lower on IMDb than I would rate it. Good low budget flick enhanced by a stick-figure-like AI enhanced "personal assistant" named Edison. A worthwhile watch. 7.5/10
001LithiumX (2020)
Deserves to be seen more
I wasn't expecting much with a 4.8/10 rating on IMDb but this movie is excellent in every way. Very nicely written and scripted, nicely filmed for a low-budget movie (quality of the production looks much higher), good acting, good soundtrack and good incidental music that actually blends with the dialog so much you don't even notice it. This is a great futuristic sci-fi movie that makes you think. It's along the same lines as the Bruce Willis sci-fi film Surrogates. Too bad it hasn't been seen much (currently only 149 ratings as compared to popular movies with ratings in the multi-thousands.) I give this a 9/10 and that rating might be a bit conservative.
Last and First Men (2020)
For Connoisseurs Of Film As Art And Hard Sci-Fi Only
Based on the ground-breaking book published in 1930 by Olaf Stapledon, this ambitious far-reaching sci-fi narration is difficult to sit through. It's slow, tedious at times with its ethereal droning soundtrack, oblique architecture, and geometric shapes and symbolism. Too many breaks in the narration for my liking to showcase the ambient droning in an attempt to convey the vast majestic awe and depth of mankind's evolution billions of years into the future. The premise is about a highly-advanced human culture that discovers a devastatingly huge impending celestial event that in time will destroy every trace of humankind throughout the galaxy without the possibility of avoidance or escape. No special effects here, this is as hard and cerebral as sci-fi gets. It's very interesting in spots but not all that entertaining overall, most people would find it very boring.
