N.H.K ni yôkoso! (2006)
Anyone who's ever had social anxiety needs to watch this
The message of this anime, the feeling of being isolated rejected by the world and eventually coming out of that mindset is absolutely worth taking the time out of your day to watch.
If you have ever struggled with anxiety or other social problems, this show will resonate with you.

Understanding character and humanity
Personally, this show isn't from a category I was interested in.
My score reflects how good of a slice of life this is.
The characters are done quite well, with their intricacies of their own. No one character is one dimensional.
I don't usually even watch Slice of life and I enjoyed this one, give it a shot.
Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu (2016)
Why
God this series has some moments. Some especially good ones towards the end of the second season and first. But as you continue on you begin to realize that Subaru is a total idiot.
The man will mess up and continue riding the wave of having things go wrong and letting people close to him die until he dies in the most horrific way possible. Why doesn't he just reset as soon as he has one slip-up, or as soon as someone important dies. It would save time and the shock value of the show wouldn't totally diminish after the first few times it happens.
Space Dandy (2014)
The most underrated Watanabe work.
This show shares the creator with masterpieces like Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo.
But is it as good, yeah it is.
Without spoiling this absolute treat, it is just as compelling as the previous titles, maybe even more so.
But it doesn't seem to receive the same praise, and that's a damn shame.

Unexpectedly Good
I have watched this show since like 2017. Before all the acclaim and hype. I was a huge fan of marvel movies and such. But this show felt like such a different take on the genre that it's captivated me. I have loved it for the most part, even thought there are some parts that I really don't like.
Should you watch it though? Are you a fan of the superhero genre and a more lighthearted interpersonal take on the topic? Then yes, if you're looking for something darker, look elsewhere, or you may have to wait.
