I loved the 1st five episodes. This one now has me thinking should I go on? This was a non believable epsisode. How can this be a true story? No way all of that could have happened in that short of time. Even the snow storm was not believable. Crazy one minute, flurries the next, than crazy again. Two shootouts, a drive to the parking place and into the outskirts of town, an escape from a hospital and to a house in a snowstom, and than back to the hospital and still light out. It's winter, it should have been dark out by the time all this unfolded, unless it all began 6 in the morning in which I doubt!!! Come on, how can no one catch this before editing??? AND worse part, cops leaving each other and or just sitting next to a body on the ground all while the killer is in the area - they did not even take cover :-(

This is soooo Netflix and nowadays garbage tv series exploitation. I miss the days of genuine good ole programming. Tic- toc, youtube..instagram people etc etc are the new stars of the world. I will pass. Turned it off after 34 minutes - when I knew for sure it was all scripted and set up. Geez, I just wanted to say that part...but now required to type out two hundered and two more characters. Wow how life has changed..I'm even told how many words I have to say in order to have my opinion related on to this user review. I'm sorry for all that has to keep on reading my statements..its not my fault. Whew - made it.

The movie was all over the place. Too many characters and very, very bad editing. So many times you can tell that they reshot scenes and spliced together but not very well...and way too many camera angles. Guess Banks (director) tried to add some of her techniques but failed.
I liked the daughter, she was great in The Florida Project as the little troublemaker kid..but here she was a little too awkward in this character. Ray Liotta's role was awful..sorry Ray. And a big question is, at one point it got dark out before entering the cave and than in the end it was daylight???? Did they all sleep until morning (daylight)??? A 4 of 10 just because it was campy gory and liked the bears role :-)

Very cute and enjoyable. Keira Knightley, Sam Rockwell and Chloe Grace Moretz chemistry in all their scenes was perfect and all three were very likeable characters.
Keira pulled off the same great vibe she portrayed in the movie one year earlier Begin Again. I like her the most in films when she plays a regular girl rather than in swashbuckling or time period movies. She is very loveable and seems like she is not even acting. Sam Rockwell was a kick in this movie...great timing on all his lines. Well done.
All in all a fun movie to watch and I really can't see anyone hating on this film. A24 has a good history on good movies. Keep em coming. Thanks.

Pretty bad, Big waste of time. It took almost an hour until the young Gandolfini even appears. Trailer is a lie. Spent more time on riots than the family characters. Sopranos fans will cringe when final credits roll. Ugh!

I thought I would like it after watching the first 20 minutes..than it went south. Too many flaws and some bad editing if you really watch close enough. You can tell they did lots of takes, cause you see them at different angles that go back and forth not quite in sync with next frame scene too many times.
Also flaws...how come they stopped bringing him food?? Was the beans enough for the week or so? How were they not ever seen going back and forth numerous times a day across the lake to the island? How come police never looked on the island?? Just one silly highway stop - but yet WANTED flyers all over. You would think there would be a better search party out.
Reece in hotel...but never watched. Kids can go whenever??
How did they find Ellis's boathouse (home) and know Mud was there in the end?? They never came upon the boathouse before.
That dirt bike sure got around town real fast and back to Neckbone always - even after leaving it at hospital outside...I have more..but don't want to make this too long or no one will read it.

Like the others say, dont listen to the negative reviews and decide to pass, watch it and you will not be disappointed. Nicole Kidman was that GOOD! Also reading the Trivia section of the movie made me even enjoy her acting even more, She had the flu for many of the scenes...wow - powerful even more. The movie goes from present to past and back and forth - but it is so easy to follow along. They did a great job explaining everything - nothing gets left behind...that was a big plus. I recommend this film and watch on a nice mellow night when u have no plans...you will be glad you did. Afterwards you will forget about not having plans for that night and this would have been a better treat!

I know most hoopla is about Jennifer and Reece for this series...but the characters of Cory and Chip played by these two actors keeps me also interested. Great supporting cast. Good lines by both in this episode and they both nailed them. And I will give Jennifer Anniston a shout out too for the dorm scene...nice job.

I tried..but only could get 45 minutes through it...wow...pure nonsense. Could have been a Lifetime movie if it wasn't for the background nudity and the F- bombs that they threw in for effect...ok I'm going to try a few more minutes...before hitting send review. Nope..couldn't get to the end..Now I just lost any way I could like it...I could just even see all the supporting cast just kissing up to JLo while making this now...2 Stars because it had good music and I like NY, but the movie blew!

I had no problem with this movie..I thought the chemistry the 3 of them had with each other was so real, like how it would be with 3 girls doing what they were doing. It didnt even feel like they were acting, and or following a script. It felt like they were all improvising most of the time, and did a good job at best too. I enjoyed their trip through Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Venice etc etc. It was all relatable as I live out here in California. The ending was cool...and make sure you watch to the end of the credits.
Im guessing the premise could really be real as, yeah, keep telling everyone what you are doing and where you are on social media, this can happen!!

I tried 3 times to get through it, just couldn't. I stopped at the 1:27 mark. It was horrible and so unrealistic it's not funny, but it does make me laugh to think that someone thought this was actually a good movie??? This would have been a big flop if was made for the big screen, guess that's why they did it for streaming. I was so disappointed.

I agree with the previous reviewer...Maybe the best movie I have seen in awhile that I may not watch again...well maybe..so I can get more people to witness this unknown masterpiece.
I fell upon this movie by ordering the DVD "Inside" from amazon, and this one was featured along with it as people who buy this movie usually buy this movie. At first I thought Martyrs was some french word for another title..but then I realized..ahhh..Martyr...now I understand. So I went into the movie knowing nothing and came out knowing too much..but in a satisfying way. Thats how you must see this movie, without any trailer previews or reviews that just might take away some of the hard effect that this movie will endure on you.
I will not say anything about the movie at all, but I will say it is terrifically acted (that is if u watch with sub-titles - do not have English dubbing playing, it will ruin it) watch it the way it should be watched and you will be able to take in all of the effect. And at the end, you will like me say "I love Anna".

I had never heard of this movie and just stumbled on to it by accident. The story was very powerful and meaningful. The acting was absolutely awesome, especially by the two major stars playing the parts of brother and sister, more of the younger girl, but that is not to take anything away from the part of her brother Jorge. He was outstanding. Also, the part of Veronica was superb. She made her scenes gripping. Especially one, and you'll know which one I mean just by watching the movie. Your jaw will drop just like mine did and it will stay with you even after the movie. This is a must see. It is in subtitle and English, so it it easy to follow. Oh yeah, Kevin Kline was an excellent surprise.

Every time I go in a video store or look up videos to rent or purchase online, I always put Rich Man Poor Man in the search engine. Always to come up empty though. This was TV at its best. Nothing topped this back in the 70's but maybe Luke and Laura on General Hospital. I remember always getting pumped up cause a new episode was coming on. If my memory is correct, I am pretty sure it was tuesday night, I know the opening episode was a 2 hr long Sunday night treat.
I really wish I could watch this again and see if it still holds up to this day. I really don't think it could lose much of the magic, since it was told in an earlier year sequence anyways. I guess the only thing different now would be the actors are a lot older these days. I will never forget the Tom Jordache and Falconetti last episode. That will always stay in my memory forever. Ed Asner was also excellent.
