Fifty Shades Of Garbage
17 March 2015
It finally was filmed. A movie with absolutely no storyline what so ever. A movie that has made over a half a billion dollars due to the post advertising of the film and the writing of the book. I never read the book but did go to the movie to see what all the hype was about. I can say this was one of the worse movies made. A plain girl who draws the attention of a billionaire. A weird billionaire at that. He leads her into the dark world of whips, leather belts and sexual games. And that IS the entire movie. I went to the premiere and the stadium seating was totally filled from the bottom to the top. At the end of the movie I thought there was going to be a riot in the theater. Everyone, and I mean everyone, started talking, yelling, swearing at once. The young man next to me stood up, looked down at his girl friend and said "I told you this movie was going to be a piece of crap...but you had to go!" A half empty box of popcorn when flying to the screen stage. If you remember the final show of that great HBO series the "Sopranos"..be prepared. The movie is total trash and I am not a stranger to movies of this type. Entertaining it was not. There was a much better 8-10 minute sex scene in JLo's movie "The Boy Next Door" that was far more sexier then this entire movie. And face it,that's what you went to see. Jamie Dornan (Gray) has said in an interview he will NOT be appearing in the sequel at the request of his wife. Ya..good play Mr. Dornan..until they put a $20,000,000 pay check in front of you. I'd have said the same thing to up that paycheck too. Based on the what I seen and heard I would be willing to bet the sequel won't make as near as much as this film did. Those who haven't seen it as of date...save your money. It's a stinker from beginning to end.

Better Then All Of The "Taken" Movies
16 March 2015
The pairing of Neeson/Harris in a movie like this was an excellent choice. After seeing this movie I now can't visualize anyone else playing the roles. Both did an awesome job. The storyline is easy to follow unlike some movies who have (3) sub-plots, 18 different people to keep track of and a dialog spoken where you can only understand every 3rd word. A long movie but because of the content time goes too quickly. There isn't any part of this movie that was slow much less boring because of it. If your a "Taken" fan then you'll go away from this movie totally satisfied. Don't compare the dollar take to "Cinderella". Of course "Cinderella" took in much more. The reason is that parents to a gazillion kids bought tickets. These were the only two movies that opened this week. Give it time. Word of mouth will up the take for "RAN". It won't ever beat "Cinderella" but then would you choose this over the Neeson/Harris movie if your over the age of 18? The fast action in "RAN" is as good, if not better, then any of the (3)"Taken" movies. It will hold your interest from beginning to end and have you wishing it were longer in length. A superior thriller/action movie. Can't wait for the DVD to be among my collection.

"Ticklegear" Apparently Just Does Not Like Mark Walberg
2 August 2013
Reading the review of "Ticklegear" I had to check out his other postings. Apparently Mark Walberg is his anti-actor. There was not one movie with Walberg that he remotely liked. "Walberg stinks up another movie"..Walberg this..Walberg that. Man...just DON'T bother going to any of his movies. I suppose he thought "Ted" was a stinker also. As far as "2 Guns" he was dead wrong. This movie was great. The chemistry between Walberg and Washington couldn't be better. The humor (mostly from Walberg) couldn't have been any better also. The story line was fast and above all easy to follow. The action scenes were as good as one could want. Not over bearing (like this summer's "Man Of Steel")but a great crime thriller. I wasn't a fan of Walberg's when he first started appearing in films but have progressed to where I totally enjoy his current movies. Regardless,if you like a thriller/drama/comedy you'll love "2-Guns". Rated a one star by "Ticklegear'???...give me a break!

Slow Drama With Awesome Actors
6 November 2010
I have never heard of this movie until it came to my local theater. With a A-list star line up such as DeNiro, Norton and Jovovich how could this movie miss. I was wrong. It did. Those who appreciate great acting in a movie won't be disappointed. (Did you ever see a movie Edward Norton was in that he wasn't absolutely great..well, maybe a couple that he may have did for the just the money..lol. His absolute best was "American History X") The movie itself moved along a pace that one keeps looking at his/her watch waiting for the ending. And the ending, again, is the latest Hollywood type...it sucks. Storyline was interesting but never got you interested to a point where one found it entertaining. This was a 98% dialog movie. You could be listening to this entire movie and never watch the video portion and understand the entire script. I am a big fan of Norton and Jovovich but this movie I could have passed on.
