Barbarians (2020)
Left out a great opportunity
The biggest letdown of this show was the eventual battle between the Germanic tribes and the legions of Varus. A fifteen minute summary? Historically incorrect? The last I can forgive, but the fact that the makers could have done more with the fact that it is believed the battle didn't last one single day, but lasted for several days with the tribes doing these guerilla type attacks on the Roman legions, slowly breaking their spirit until they're trapped between the hill and the moor with no way out and then being finished off... They could have done so much more with it. Maybe they should have added another season.
Stonehenge Apocalypse (2010)
Why bother with location scouts...
First I want to express my most sincere condolences to the genre of the disaster movie: U R Dead. All these pathetic flicks that Syfy releases on the world are either totally unbelievable or very badly scouted for locations. If you want to rebuilt the Stonehenge somewhere in the USA, fine with me, but put in a little effort, will ya? Where was the heelstone? Nowhere to be found. The scientist with the woowoo theory drives to Stonehenge over the grass, while a perfect asphalt road runs beside it. There is even a visitors center near the monument and around the henge itself is an asphalt path for people to walk on. Tourists never come in between the megaliths themselves. And usually it is crowded over there, and in the movie it seems that it is always peace and quiet around the Stonehenge...
The story... Need I bother you? Predictable, cardboard characters and not even one second of humor added to the narrative, making this a sore hour and a half that I will never get back...
