Very meh so far. Definitely not a thriller.
3 September 2021
This is not a thriller, so don't let the genre description fool you. It's a comedy/melancholy drama mix with lots of over-the-top acting.

It's more like Sex and the City or Desperate Housewives in terms of humor. No idea why they put the thriller tag there instead of the comedy tag.

I find the story boring and very draging so far. The lady that plays the author is extremely annoying with her unfunny one-liners. The woman that got abandoned by her husband and got her kid taken away always looks like she's about to laugh, even in serious moments.

Still waiting for things to happen. What happened so far could have been told in an hour.

So much build-up...

And in the end: nothing. Was very disappointed.

No idea what they were thinking about the ending, maybe they just didn't have the balls to decide what they wanted to do so they chose "Nothing" instead.

No idea why this has such low score. It's a well thought out movie with some unexpected surprises. Definitely worth a watch in my opinion.

So far the story is brilliant and very unique!

I'm only at episode 4 but I got surprised by the story and the way it is told so often already that I had to write a review. Fantastic show. The acting is convincing and on point, the story is thrilling and unpredictable and the setting and 70s flair works really well, is refreshing and helps the story move forward. Highly recommended!

(I will change this review if the series will get worse towards the end)

Was definitely worth the watch!

Yeah the guy makes some dumb decisions (it's not as bad as some reviewers say though), but it's all for the betterment of the story. Also there is a nice twist in the middle of the story that explains his poor choices.

I was very entertained throughout the movie and the ending was great. The worst part about this series is that it is not a movie but instead split up into 10x 8 minute pieces. Whyyy? 8 minutes doesn't make any sense. They should have made it a 1 hour 20 minute movie.

Other than that, go watch it! It's really good!

Jessica Jones (2015–2019)

First season brilliant, second season awful
14 February 2019
Just finished season 2. What a waste of 13 hours. I'd give the first season a 9 and the second season a 2. Jessica's character in the second season is a nonstop-self-pitying, uninspiring, entitled, complaining brat. All she does is complain. I wish there was a villain in the second season but nope - just a bunch of miserable boring broken "good" characters that the audience is supposed to relate to. I wish there was a thrilling plot in the second season but nope - just a string of unmeaningful side stories and mini-events that were attached together artificially. I wish there were interesting characters in the second season but nope - they literally kill off every intriguing character within the first few episodes of this season.

The series went from being a clever thriller to being a draging soap opera.

My advice: Watch the first season. Avoid the second season and watch Daredevil instead. The latter is better in every way - better story, better cinematography, better dialogues, better characters, better action, everything.

Very bland and uninspired story that promotes prejudice against men
2 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
The story doesn't make any sense. He already had her upstairs and they kissed, so why the heck would he poison her? She was already down to have sex with him, so why would he poison her? If he wasn't the most ridiculous and unconvincing villain ever then we wouldn't have had to watch this long series full of of emptiness. No man on earth would have poisoned her in that situation. Not even the most stupid and most evil man on this planet would have been that dumb.

Also, the whole story could have been told in 1 and a half hours.

Furthermore, this series is a very bad contribution to society. Another reason for women to get huge paranoia and prejudice against men. Another reason for men to get super scared for saying the wrong thing around women and thus feeling like they need to behave like white knights, which in turn will turn women off.
