Larry Gaye: Renegade Male Flight Attendant (2015)
Funny late night comedy
This is a great movie to watch if you're not sober. Somewhat reminiscent of early 2000s comedies and Mark Feuerstein shows a his comedic abilities despite mostly not being a comedy actor. I found this movie to be hilarious. Was the plot great? No, it was silly, but in a good way. Here's the best way to put it: if you are the type of person who wants to sit down and watch some serious movie like The Departed or The Martian, you'll hate this, but if you want to sit down and watch something that's the best kind of stupid humor that we all at least somewhat enjoy, you'll enjoy watching this movie. Not all of the jokes are tasteful, but this isn't supposed to be some serious film looking for an Oscar, it was made to be funny and that's exactly what it is, a funny movie that you don't have to pay full attention to to enjoy. Totally worth watching if you want to watch something just to laugh. It's the definition of a late night comedy.
Pushing Dead (2016)
Yikes
Huge fan of James Roday, and I've enjoyed seeing Danny Glover also, and I don't blame them for my lack of enjoyment towards this movie. Basically nothing is ever explained... where are Dan's friends? Why are his two closest friends some very strange woman and an elderly man? I've seen almost everything Roday is in, and his acting is always great, but he was working with absolutely nothing throughout this entire movie. Such poor writing with so many holes. Solid plot, idea, and he's been funny enough to carry movies/TV shows before, but he seems like a less funny, more thinly written version of Gary Mendez from his show A Million Little Things.
