Shatner is on top form.

The music is the best of any film.

The story is simple but works on different levels.

If you follow Star Trek TV Series then you know it follows on from an episode.

But if you just want to watch a good film. You can without knowing the whole back story.

The main story is Khan's revenge on Captain Kirk But there is a sub plot stating that they are old and how they are dealing with it.

Kirstie Alley makes her debut.

The only problem is chekhov and Sulu should have been swapped around to follow the tv series.

The new Trek films tried to copy this story and failed big time.

I can't believe they even thought it was a good idea.

Also if you like it it will lead you into the trilogy.

2,3 and 4.

3 is OK. But 4 is up there with 2 and 6.

Seriously 1 and 5 aren't great.

Row Row Row your boat anyone.

I love this film, it has everything.

Good story, Big stars, action and a good score.

Richard Burton, Roger Moore and Richard Harris are all good in this .

The ending is Great.

Lots of action .

The story is that mercenaries (lead by Burton) are hired to get a politician out of prison.

But along the way they are doublecrossed and have to find away out.

Roger Moore does some of his best acting in this.

This maybe because he isn't the main star.

The only thing that let's it down is the age of the cast. Burton is past his prime and so are alot of the supporting cast.

You will see these actors in other films of the period , like The Sea Wolves.

The Villian is the best part of this film. For 2/3 of the film he is by far able to kill the lead at any point.

Then for the final act he is dumbed down The hero is the reason everything goes wrong. He is supposed to be teaching the swat team.

But to be fair I think they were better off without him His decision to change things is the reason for the operation to go wrong. If he listened to his team it would have been fine.

But there is no soul searching. He is just gutted his personal numbers now look bad.

His team all believe in him which get some shot. But he is just like " whatever " It could have been really good but falls way short.
