Deep Water (2022)
Terrible Movie
It was really hard to watch the whole thing. It was slow and didn't really go anywhere. However, we persevered thinking it may get better as it went on. It didn't.
It was predictable, unbelievable and the ending was the biggest disappointment of all.
I gave it three stars because I enjoyed the scenes with the little girl. She displayed the best acting and gave some life to the movie.
Nightmare Alley (2021)
Not a movie nut but here's my 2¢
I am just a regular girl that loves psychological thrillers. I am not a nerd or nut. Nor do I have the time and inclination to pass judgement on wardrobe, music etc. It is probably due to that that I really enjoyed this movie.
It didn't feel that long because I had no expectations from the directors previous works. The scenes in the movie and twisty ending all convince to explain the moral of the story.
I honestly thought it was great. If you're just a person clicking through neon looking for something to watch then it's a definite must watch. Judging from the "proper" reviews, if you're a movie buff it might be best to give it a miss.
Bloodhound (2020)
Harsh critics
I honestly wasn't expecting much from this movie from the synopsis outlining a familiar topic of child disappearance.
I read the reviews and thought I'd give it a go anyway as a fan of English movies.
I was glad I did. It was gritty, suspenseful and makes you think - especially if you have children. Any of the endings are plausible which created an interest in finding out more about trafficking and abduction (after checking on my own child). In regards to encouraging people to look outside their own bubble it was a success.
