Save Yourselves a mediocre time and avoid this movie
12 October 2020
I recently read about this new rom com about a interracial couple facing an alien invasion and thought it would be amusing and entertaining plotwise to check out. Wrong. The movie tries so hard in desperation to make your like the couple and laugh at their "witty, clever" lines, but it's a total misstep in every aspect. The script isn't funny, and the delivery by the actors (a real life couple) seems to strangely miss at every step. The pacing is agonizingly slow and the comedy just falls flat. the conversation feels totally unnatural and unconvincingly in-genuine. For most audiences, they will find the ending really unsatisfying, since it's vague and inconclusive. You suddenly see the credits roll and you're like...huh? Pretty mediore. View at your own peril.

Tesla (I) (2020)

Ethan Hawke's worst movie ever
27 September 2020
You'd think a new biopic of Nikolai Tesla would be interesting, maybe electrifying? Nope. The director of the movie has no clue what he wants this movie to be. Using a female character narrating the movie and saying "Google this" or "Google that", he mixes up scenes with this annoying millennial narration and a god awful script and you get a complete, confusing, boring mess. Even Ethan Hawke can't save this abomination. The script is right out of the George Lucas school of scriptwriting. Just bad. Avoid this at all cost.

Klimt (2006)

"We are against hideous art" and "Klimt" is definitely hideous
28 December 2014
Count me as one the haters of this hodge-podge pretentious mess of a movie. The director is trying to act as if he's a Dalique surrealist with this film, but it comes across as choppy, uneven "art school senior" project filled with amateurish, hammy performances, especially from John Malkovich and his eurotrash cast. Ridiculously over the top, unnatural acting; the last time I've watched such bad acting is Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. So much potential, squandered by a talentless, Euro hack director; definitely for the direct to video Redbox crowd. For the art crowd that applauds this as a masterpiece; Klimt's artwork are beautiful masterpieces, but this movie is art drek for the pretentiously laughable. Cheap titillation and goofy performances do not equate art.
