Stargate (1994)
9/10
Still a great film for it day
20 August 2023
Me and wife been a big fan of Stargate since renting it on a VCR. It appears now and then. And is on amazon prime as off 20th August 23. It has all the right amount of good characters and effects to be very interesting. It's quite creepy at times, thanks to the score (David Arnold) lighting, and Ejyption history. Big fan of Egyptian lore and artifacts, so just up my street. Miri Avital who plays Shauri is an Israeli actress, like Gal Gadol. I find her presence in this unique and romantic. I like Kurt Russell, for me his best actual action part Documentary will always be Deep water Horizon, playing Mr Jimmy. Underrated Sci fi. Would have liked another, as the spin off series did nothing for me without at least half the crew returning. 8-9 from me.

I watched this on TV tiny screen at home in the seventies. FOSTER was made for the Character, great captivating stories, the old cars and flared trousers and of course a pint, a whole corona cigar, herrings and almost everybody smoked, camel ot Marlbara. My favourite was with Patrick Allen in death on the beach. Van de valk just couldn't pin his missing wife's death at sea was committed by him. His g/f lover the late. Joanna Dunham gave a good performance in this. Excellent series I have on a 12 disc set. Mines a Heineken and some nice fresh Herrings please!! 👍👍
