The Hateful Eight (2015)
Aggravated
The movie itself was interesting. I liked the plot and everything... the one thing that kept striking a nerve is the amount of times Quentin Tarantino HAD to use the "n" word with the strong "r". I'm in no way, shape or form sensitive to racial slurs but it was like he couldn't WAIT to write the script and find any excuse to use it! It started getting annoying and I just switched it off after an hour.
From what I watched it looked promising! It even had some of my favorite actors in it and the acting was superb. I love a raunchy, edgy movie that could make some people uncomfortable. Quentin is good for that! Hopefully next time he can have the dialogue between the characters more tasteful.
Look Who's Stalking (2023)
The Acting....
I haven't gotten through the whole movie yet but had to comment on how tragic the acting was! I wanted to give it a chance but couldn't stop snickering at the acting skills of these cast members! That's where the true horror is!
It wasn't only the acting that made me give it one star. It was the sound effects of everything! It was off (ie footsteps and rustling paperwork), the story line was all over the place (ie it was difficult to connect with any of the characters) and the dialogue was torture trying to follow along! (It was like they just threw conversations between the characters together without giving any context) I'm not hard to please but this had to be one of the worst movies I've seen!
Swan Song (2021)
I don't think I've cried this much is such a long time
Wholesome black love... when a person loves his family more than he does himself.
I was apprehensive at first because I saw romance in the genre but this was so much more than and delivered on so many levels.
