Harley Quinn: Batman Begins Forever (2022)
The best episode of the show and a fun re-imagining of the Bat's origin
The best episode of the show and a fun re-imagining of the Bat's origin. This episode is not just focused on Bruce as Batman, but also on Harley. Harley's origin as a therapist is often overlooked in most iterations of the DC character but this show, and especially so in this episode, places a spotlight on how her profession is extremely apt for the subject matter and gives her a fun start to her relationship with Bruce.
Everyone that has ever seen a Batman-related media knows Bruce Wayne's backstory. Everyone has seen his parents die multiple times. This episode both pokes fun at the phenomenon but also goes further to deconstruct its meaning to Batman as a character.
This isn't simply Batman's origin story, this is Harley Quinn learning Batman's origin story. In a way, it's also something that will be part of Harley's "origin" story going forward.
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power: Once Upon a Time in the Waste (2019)
Underrated ep
The B plot is actually interesting and furthers both Catra and Scorpia's characters, especially their relationship. The A plot is a little bit of info dump and a little bit of character drama.
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power: Huntara (2019)
No Catra, yet still good.
There's no sign of Catra in this episode but there is a fun adventure of the Best Friends Squad and some juicy stuff from the Hordak/Entrapta front. It's an enjoyable episode.
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power: The Price of Power (2019)
You do not choose.
Adora has a destiny, and that's a problem. It's not a common trope but as a "Chosen One", Adora begins to question her destiny and fate. Why doesn't she get to choose?
The episode is a banger of an episode to start the season with.
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power: Reunion (2019)
Good
It's a weird episode for a season finale but it definitely is one that entertains. Bow is a great character and this episode is a great backstory for him. It has elements of humor and of serious character drama.
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power: Light Spinner (2019)
Great
This is arguably the best episode of the season and is focused on one of the best characters that get overlooked quite often, Shadow Weaver/Light Spinner.
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power: White Out (2019)
Drunk Adora Best Adora
No need to elaborate. It's a very secondary character-driven episode this time. Seahawk and Scorpia both get good time to shine and overall, it's enjoyable.
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power: Signals (2019)
Good enough
Not every episode can be a great one and this one is just ok.
Catra finally has to deal with some of the actual repercussions of being a leader (namely, bureaucracy) and Best Friend Quad goes for a Horror B story.
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power: Light Hope (2018)
Infodump but a good one with drama
There's a great amount of information dumped in terms of the lore and backstory of the planet and She-ra in general but the meat is how that lore affects the characters.
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power: Promise (2018)
Wow
This was absolutely a banger of a first-season episode. When I started watching the show I never expected to actually grow to care about this dynamic so much. This episode explores the characters' past together as friends and why exactly they're so good as enemies too.
Community (2009)
Ensemble Cast, Great Writing (Mostly), and a keen awareness of Pop-culture
There's little to say that hasn't already been said. This show is legitimately a contender for one of the best TV shows in history. Even the shift in writers that resulted in the lackluster Season 4 results in a show that is still leagues above many others.
