Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island! (2005)
Copycat Fred's Spongebob Rip-off
This has got to be one of the worst Spongebob Rip-offs out there. It was so bad that even the voice actor regret being part of the show, and I don't blame him.
The show is annoying as heck. The voice acting is horrible and the characters are totally unlikable. This show lacks any sort of character development to a point where you cannot differentiate the two banana brothers. And let's talk about Fred, he is very loud and so annoying to a point that you'd want to shut this TV show off. Mr. Greenrind also rips off Mr Krabs and Squidward, and there are so many more rip offs. The voice acting is subpar, despite having talented voice actors.
The animation style is awful, lazy, and cheap looking, and I am not even going to even consider that this show was made in 2005. The show has a 240p resolution, which looks pretty bad. Heck, even Bugs Bunny looked better than this, despite being much older.
Scaredy Squirrel (2011)
Not a bad show, but nothing special. Neither a Spongebob knock off
Scaredy Squirrel is a show I used to love watching when I was younger. Even though this show may be generic, I would not call this a rip off of Spongebob. I rewatched it and I found an episode to be funny. The characters are cute and they have interesting personalities. The episodes seem to be well written and the pacing is good. I am aware this show is loosely based on a book of the same name, and I liked it too. Maybe had this show taken. More reference from the book, it would have made the show stand out a bit more. And the 2D animation isn't the best, but far from being the worst.
Overall rating: 7/10.
But, I decided to give this a 9/10 for the nostalgia value and it doesn't deserve the hate.
Skibidi Toilet (2023)
Just cringe and unfunny
This Youtube series is awful. I get that this is meant to be cringe comedy, and sometimes cringe comedy actually has potential to be funny. Well, this failed.
First of all, this series makes no sense at all. It seems to be about a toilet who has a head and starts singing gibberish. Then the toilet('s) go on and go destroy the city or something. I am really not sure because I stopped watching this. And the toilets just sing random gibberish that doesn't make too much sense at all.
The fact that there are toilets with human heads to me is wierd, and at the same time horrifying. Putting human faces or realistic human features on inanimate objects looks unnatural and horrifying.
This is another level of stupid. But who knows, trends come and go anyways.
Qi che ren zong dong yuan (2015)
C'mon guys, this movie has nothing to do with cars
This movie is so good and beautiful. It is a cinematic masterpiece and I cannot believe Pixar ripped off this movie!
Hahaha, just kidding, This movie is a disgrace to my favourite movie series, which is Disney Pixar's Cars, and Cars 2. This movie is an obvious mockbuster to the movie Cars 2, and the creator lied that it was an independently produced film and it was inspired by Cars. Like dude, it's obviously a rip off. Even defending the case by saying, "I never saw cars before." How stupid do you think we are? Thankfully, disney won the copyright case.
This movie's voice actors are the worst. All the characters have child voices, in which I am sure that this movie must've been made by kids. You can obviously tell too because the animation quality is awful, like I mean AWFUL! The animation is so bad you could easily think that it was made by a two year old. EVEN A TWO YEAR OLD CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS! The animation also feels like that Johnny Johnny animation on Youtube, which is absolutely horrifying. EVen the peoples heads are really big, it is horrifying.
The plot of this movie makes no sense. It's like random stuff were thrown into a blender and uses that as their plot. The racing scenes made no sense either.
This movie is the worst of all time. Don't watch this, EVER! Unless you want to lose your sanity.
Fleabag Monkeyface (2011)
Most disapointing TV Show of the 2010's
Fleabag Monkeyface ventures into the realm of animated television with high hopes but falls short on multiple fronts, leaving viewers with a sense of dissatisfaction and discomfort. Regrettably, this show fails to deliver on its potential due to a combination of bland characters, repetitive plotlines, and questionable humor choices.
The titular character, Fleabag Monkeyface, is a visual misstep, whose appearance is downright creepy. This unsettling appearance, combined with the show's overreliance on gross-out humor, creates an initial hurdle for engagement. Unfortunately, the humor itself is not only off-putting but becomes predictably overused, making it challenging to find enjoyment in the show's attempts at comedy. Besides Fleabag Monkeyface, all the other characters look generic or copies of one another, but with minor tweaks (different clothes, hair colour, etc). This shows how lazy the animators were to copy and paste rather than make new character designs.
One of the major pitfalls of Fleabag Monkeyface lies in its uninteresting and exciting plots and lack of originality, particularly evident in its formulaic episode structure. The perpetual conflict between Dr. Dirk Spamflex and the trio of Gerald, Gene, and Fleabag grows stale quickly, with each episode feeling like a recycled version of the last. This episodes are repetitive not only stifles creativity but also fails to offer viewers any character development. The shows episodes have little to no new adventure as the episodes progress, most episodes have a scene where the trio try to create something for their gross out TV show. Eventually, Dr. Spamflex finds and spies on them, and tries to either destroy their reputation of the trio or take over their invention, therefore going on an ego trip. Later his plan fails and he cries like a baby, "I WANT MY TV SHOW BACK!" That line is so annoying and overused that I feel like responding, "Well, you're not getting it back, so get over it!" Not to mention that the scenes where Dr. Spamflex spies on them is kind of stalker level creepy.
The characters themselves are disappointingly bland:
- The titular protagonist has a questionable personality, where he may be gross, but he is a good superhero and fights villains. While he may appeal to be smart at first, he sometimes makes the wrong choices and appears dumb. Because of his inconsistant personality, it makes me wonder what kind of personnel he actually has.
- Dr. Dirk Spamflex resembles a generic villain reminiscent of Plankton from SpongeBob SquarePants. The parallel between Dirk's desire to reclaim his TV show and Plankton's quest for the Krabby Patty secret formula feels like a clichéd joke, and the lack of innovation leaves much to be desired.
- Gerald and Gene have little to no development. They almost are like copies of each other but as afforementioned, they have swapped hairstyles, clothes, etc. Neither is there any differences in terms of personality. Spongebob and Patrick may be a duo, but at least they are distinct from each other and have different personalities.
- Da Smuglies are sibling that I compare to Squidward but split into two siblings. They do similar things to Dr. Spamflex, as they try to sabotage the trio's plans too. Also too, swapped gender and hairstyles.
These descriptions show that none of the characters have any kind of development, personality, or even originality. They are all just one dimensional and don't change throughout the show.
Animation is another factor of the falters, which appears to be generic, ugly, low budget, and reminiscent of Fanboy and Chum Chum. This lack of visual appeal further detracts from the overall viewing experience, making it difficult for audiences to connect with the show on any level. Even the animation style doesn't go well with the purpose of the show. 3D animation and gross out humour doesn't give it that same effect as a 2D animated series would. But this wouldn't change anything because the writing is the biggest thing that makes the show bad, but still do better than this.
Additionally, the inclusion of a possible sexual innuendo, such as the resemblance of Dirk's head shape and name to a body part and his rooster costume, may be considered inappropriate for the intended audience. Such choices can alienate viewers and detract from the show's potential appeal to a broader demographic. You probably wouldn't expect a kid to understand that, but the stories of the show are so juvenile and idiotic that you wouldn't expect an adult to want to watch a show like this.
In conclusion, Fleabag Monkeyface doesn't have a place in the world of animation. With unappealing characters, repetitive plotlines, and uninteresting humor, it fails to captivate audiences and falls short of delivering an enjoyable viewing experience.
The Annoying Orange (2009)
This is awesome entertainment
"Annoying Orange" is a comedic masterpiece that not only excels in delivering funny jokes and clever puns but also stands out for its brilliant pop culture spoofs and catchy songs. Despite being criticized for its unconventional style, the show has managed to carve a niche for itself, and I wholeheartedly give it a perfect 10/10.
One of the standout features of "Annoying Orange" is its ability to cleverly spoof pop culture. The writers and creators brilliantly weave in references to movies, TV shows, and internet trends, adding an extra layer of humor for those in the know. From classic film parodies to witty commentary on viral sensations, the show keeps viewers on their toes, creating a delightful experience for those who appreciate these clever nods.
Moreover, the inclusion of hilarious songs adds another dimension to the show's entertainment value. Whether it's original compositions or parodying popular tunes, "Annoying Orange" showcases a musical flair that enhances the overall viewing experience. These songs often become earworms, staying with the audience long after the episode has ended.
While the humor may not be universally appealing, fans of "Annoying Orange" appreciate the show's ability to blend humor with clever pop culture references and catchy tunes. The incorporation of these elements demonstrates a commitment to providing a well-rounded comedic experience that goes beyond typical animated series.
In conclusion, "Annoying Orange" is not just about annoying antics and quirky humor; it's a celebration of creativity, clever writing, and an astute understanding of pop culture. For those who revel in the joy of spotting references and singing along to comedic tunes, this show is an absolute triumph and deserves its perfect 10/10 rating.
Mr. Bean: The Animated Series (2002)
Pretty good
The animated Mr. Bean isn't the same as the original Mr. Bean, but it doesn't deserve the hate. Animation is sometimes better as you don't have limits when creating ideas (unless the budget of course lol), but this series has lots of good episodes that can apeal to any age. One complant has is that Mr. Bean talks during the series, in which the original Mr. Bean didn't talk, removing the charm of the original show where Mr. Bean could make people laugh without saying a word. Despite that, the way he talks can be funny sometimes with his accent. I loved the original show, in which was very good, and despite not having the charm of the original, it still has funny episodes that can make you laugh.
Family Gal (2022)
AI Family Guy Ripoff
What a joke of a family guy mockbuster. I found this accidentally when I was searching up family guy and I typed in Family Gal. You can tell this is a rip off as it has a similar name to mislead people. Not to mention how it has the Anon watermark floating around the screen to show the copyright, meanwhile they ripped off Family Guy and reused sound effects from other media, such as the Taco Bell Bong.
The humour of this show is bland and even the english language is not accurate, it must've been translated by a foreign company, and how am I supposed to know because there is hardly any information about Anon Trendz. The 2 kids fight in each episode, instead of it being funny, it's so damn annoying. There is little to no character development, except for Miranda hating men. The other characters are just bland. The animation is awful, it has no ambience or shading, no detail, and it even has missing pieces of the characters. Whatever you do, Stay away from this show.
Jay Jay the Jet Plane (1999)
No, I just can't
This is one of the worst TV shows on PBS Kids. I don't know where to begin, but let's start with the character designs and animation quality. The character designs are horrendous. It looks like they took faces off a cabbage patch doll (or even a human) and put them on an airplane. Creepy, right? I mean, Thomas did that, but their faces didn't look creepy because they looked more natural and actually put in effort to make their character designs look good, but this didn't. With this, the characters can move every muscle of their face, or their heads could even turn. Their realistic face designs were overdone as their body designs looked bad. The animation quality is equivalent of a bootleg/ mockbuster film. I cannot believe Tuffy's design. It is the worst of all, and i won't explain why because it's self explanatory. Revvin Evan reminds me off the internet troll face from the memes. The landscapes looked realistic, but shot with a low quality camera. The show looks worse the older I get. I noticed that the planes look like oversized babies. When looking at them compared to the human characters, you feel like they could easily eat them. However, I do have some respect for this because CGI animation was new then and technology wasn't as good as what we have today. And as it seems, the animation just didn't age very well unfortunately. But still, even Veggietales in 1993 looked better, despite coming out years before.
Now let's talk about the voice acting. It's terrible. The voices are annoying just like Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island, which is already a bad Spongebob rip off. Herky rolls every R in each sentence, similar to Porky pig. Even though I like Porky Pig and Looney tunes in general, this shows unoriginality and overuse of the stutter, making the joke old and unfunny. The other voices are pretty annoying and makes it hard to listen to, which is sad considering the show had some pretty talented voice actors (Debi Derberry from Jimmy Neutron).
The Problem Solverz (2011)
Creative, but would've been better elsewhere
"The Problem Solverz" is a show that certainly stands out in the world of animation. Its unique visual style, reminiscent of old Atari video games, instantly captures your attention. However, my overall experience with the show is a mixed bag, which is why I would give it a rating of 7/10.
One of the show's standout features is its creativity. The distinct visual design creates a nostalgic atmosphere that appeals to fans of classic video games. This unique approach to animation is a breath of fresh air and sets "The Problem Solverz" apart from the crowd. The show's unconventional humor can also be quite entertaining at times, injecting moments of laughter into the episodes.
One of the aspects I appreciate about the show is its occasional inclusion of positive messages, such as Horace discussing good sportsmanship. These moments add depth to the characters and provide viewers with some positive life lessons, making the show more than just a visual spectacle.
However, "The Problem Solverz" has its share of drawbacks. The character designs can be off-putting, with some viewers finding them weird and inconsistent. For instance, Alfe's appearance shifts notably between seasons, from resembling a Gumby-like man made out of chocolate in the first season to appearing more like a fur monster (his confirmed species) in the second season. This inconsistency in character design might confuse or alienate viewers.
Additionally, the overuse of flashing lights can be overwhelming and distracting, potentially causing discomfort for some viewers. While the humor is creative, the show occasionally relies on toilet/ gross out humor, which might be amusing in small doses but feels overused and tiresome at times. However, the animation has gotten better in season 2 and it toned down the flashing lights a bit, but still for some with epilepsy it could be uncomfortable. The show would have been better if it would've been similar to Neon Knome (the pilot) in the first season. However, the inconsistent character designs and the overuse of flashing lights, coupled with repetitive toilet humor, can be off-putting. This isn't the worst show that I have ever seen, but at least the creators tried and made an effort to make something new or different (experimental) from other TV shows.
In conclusion, "The Problem Solverz" is an unconventional animated series that has its moments of brilliance. Its unique visual style and occasional humor can be appealing, and it's not devoid of positive messages. If you're a fan of experimental animation and are willing to overlook these flaws, you might find "The Problem Solverz" worth checking out. It's a show that dares to be different, and while it doesn't always hit the mark, it's an interesting ride for those seeking something out of the ordinary.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023)
Best Movie of 2023
This has got to be the best movie of 2023. This is everything a Mario Movie should be. I heard that the 1993 Mario Bros movie was bad and it didn't work, and I think this fixed it.
The animation for the movie was amazing. Even though the movie looked realistic in which the game wasn't, it still is great. The effects were amazing. You can tell they put tons of work into it.
The plot twist is very good. It had some twists that I didn't expect to happen, and I see that as being good because if a movie is predictable, it is generic. The plot had lots of action.
In conclusion, this is a very good movie. Whether you are a Mario fan or not, you will still enjoy it. I haven't played much Mario myself, but I still liked the movie. I really wanted to see it because everybody I knew was raving about it.
A Car's Life: Sparky's Big Adventure (2006)
Nothing original or creative
This movie is a rip off of Cars, like everyone says it.
The animation is mediocre, even for 2006 standards. The Cars movie from the same year was ahead of its time. This was probably done by a four year old. The Jay Jay the Jet Plane and Fanboy and Chum Chum animation is superior to this.
The plot has no creativity to it, neither is there any flow to it whatsoever. It is just about a normal rebellious kid who doesn't want to listen to his dad, but do what he wants instead. If he actually learned from his mistakes, which he doesn't, it would be better. Since this movie is directed towards kids, it should have a lesson or moral to it, and the protagonist should learn something from it. The storyline is just random events fused together. There is so much to it that is similar to the cars movie. Like the police officer, and the dad looks just like Doc Hudson, Speedy is like a rip off of Sally.
Just don't watch this movie. It's a cars rip off. Watch Roary the Racing Car, Tractor Tom, Blaze and the Monster Machines, or Cars movie instead. There are other educational programs with more to offer. Do whatever you can to avoid this crap.
Tractor Tom (2002)
My favourite underrated kids show
This show is amazing. I may be an adult without children, but I watch it myself mainly because I grew up watching this as a child. But it is just as fun to watch now as it did then. I recommend this show to people of all ages.
Tractor Tom is charming. He is intelligent, friendly, and works very well with his friends on Springhill Farm. The other characters are good too. Rev may not be the brightest, but he seems to learn lots from the rest of the characters too. Buzz is also a likeable character too. He was mischievous, but likeable in the first season. In season two, he was behaved but still a reliable worker. At least the characters aren't mean spirited at all, though they may not always make the right choices, but they learn a lesson each time. I also like the format of how the characters are organized. Farmer Fi and Matt are like Parental figures, Wheezy is like a grandfather figure, Tom is like a 8-12 year old, Buzz and Rora are like a little bother and sister figure (I'd guess around 3-6), and Rev would be like a teenage brother figure (about 14-17)
The show teaches some good lessons. It includes working together/ teamwork, good craftsmanship/ leadership, listening to others ideas, staying on task, working hard and getting rewarded. This show can teach other good lessons aside from teamwork you can use in your everyday life. That can include making good choices, etc.
The show also has some good humour which makes the show funny to watch and give everyone a laugh. There is a running gag where the sheep escape and cause some kind of trouble. There was even a scene when the sheep discovered pogo sticks and they started bouncing. At least the characters have a sense of humour too.
I like the animation of this show. The show is colourful and eye catching. Even for a kids show from 2002. This show also reminds me of Bob the Builder. I really think that the character designs are cute looking.
The voice acting is very good. The voices aren't annoying unlike Coconut Fred, Jay Jay the Jet Plane, and those other cringy kids shows I also watched.
I recommend this show to everyone. This show is underrated and forgotten. Too bad it was so short lived and I wish it lasted longer. I would even show this show to my future children instead of Cocomelon. Great show. And creators, if you are reading this, thank you for making a great childhood.
Roary the Racing Car (2007)
Give it a go
This show is amazing, this is my childhood. This show is about 5 racing cars that live at a race track, and they learn new lessons in each episode. This show can teach lessons like communicating, karma, effects on not listening to others, etc. The characters are very likeable, and they have great personalities, despite Roary and Maxi have sibling rivalry. Big Chris can be really funny at times. The show itself really shows off creativity from the creators and producers. It blends computer animation with stop motion/ claymation. I would recommend this show to kids of any age. I know some people say that this show isn't the best for kids over 5, but they will still find it entertaining.
