The Thundermans (2013)
A Thunder good review
The Thundermans is a simple family sitcom. But there is a little twist, these people have superpowers. Hank and Barb Thunderman were big superheroes when they were younger. They were better known as Thunderman (Super strength/Flying) and Electress (Electricity). They lived in a place called Metroburg. Later they got 4 kids and wanted to live a normal life so they moved to Hiddenville. First they got a twins. Phoebe and Max. They both got the same powers (Heat breath/Freeze breath/Telekinesis). After them they got a boy named Billy (Super Speed). 2 Years later a girl named Nora (Laser eyes). And about 10 years after that they got a new baby Chloë (Teleportation).
Phoebe and Max are fighting most of the time. Max lives in a lair with a super villain (Dr. Colosso). Hank turned Dr. Colosso in to a rabbit and since then he lives in a cage in Max's lair. Max hopes he can be the biggest supervillain alive one day, but Phoebe instead hopes to be the biggest superhero. So that's a little bit difficult sometimes. They fight a lot, but they love each other. If there's something wrong they will always help each other out. Billy and Nora have a different kind of relationship. Nora is the mean but cute kid with all the plans and ideas. Billy follows Nora most of the time and does almost anything she says. Hank and Barb are most of the time trying to be perfect parents, but they're definitely not. They're funny and good in their own way. And I think that's what makes them good parents.
I can't really choose who's my favourite character, but I have a few reasons why I like these 3 characters so much.
Phoebe is just a fun teenager. She loves school and really want to be a great superhero one day, but she also wants to hang out with her friends and just do normal teenage stuff. Phoebe is also really creative and has a lot of perseverance.
Max is a genius. He's really smart. And if he likes something he really goes for it. But school related things... He can do it, but he doesn't want to. The gadgets and inventions he makes are incredible. He has a lot of feelings and he always wants confirmation. And I think that's what makes him a good character. He really grows through the seasons.
Billy is the cute, silly character almost everyone likes. He's not doing anything wrong. Everything he does is funny or almost adorable. Billy is just a little affectionate, and that makes him Billy.
Down below I have a few Episodes I really liked and why :)
Patch Me If You Can (S3/E9)
There is no specific reason why I like this so much. The episode isn't that special. Phoebe needs to babysit on Link's little brother Harris, because Link is planning Harris's surprise party. Harris is really shy and scared for everything, but he loves pirates. Max wants a outfit for when he's a supervillain. So he makes a eyepatch for that, what Max didn't tell is that if you put on the eye patch it will make you evil. Harris finds the eye patch and it makes him evil. Harris's suprise party is a pirate themed laser game party. There happens a lot of stuff. Max wears a laser game uniform, but Harris threw a fireball at him and "ruined" it. Later Max looked in the mirror and saw that it looked kinda cool. Nora lasered the eye patch from Harris his head and now he isn't evil anymore. Harris said to Link that it was the best day of his life, thanks to Phoebe.
Orange is the new Max (S4/E8)
I can be short about this one. I just like the who idea of little kids in prison with Super powers. This was a funny episode.
Thunder in Paradise (S4/E14)
I really liked this. The whole Vibe and Idea of the "long Episode? Short movie?" is really fun. Phoebe who isn't evil at all turning evil... The who styling for her character in this Episode is so good, the Clothes, Her hair and Kira is also an amazing actor who did a great job. I think the thing I like the most is the filming job, that's really different if you compare it to the normal episodes. Chloe was so funny the whole time.
Looperheroes (S4/E28)
The idea of the episode was funny, but not really special. The thought behind it was beautiful. 1 specific day was repeating it self over and over again. Phoebe didn't knew why. Max said he didn't knew, but it was his fault it happened. He did it because he was scared. He was scared that they didn't go to the finals of the Z-Force. So he made some sort of time illusion thing. So that day repeated it self over and over again...
The Thunder Games (S4/E29)
The ending was really beautiful. A lot of things finally happened or changed. Billy and Nora are finally superheroes, Max isn't evil anymore, Phoebe and Max find their Twin Power + they joined the Z-Force (correction) T-Force. The moment they had with each other when they held hands in Max's lair was really emotional.
Overall I really liked this show and it felt good to watch it.
Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh (2008)
Last Christmas with Drake and Josh :(
This movie is pure nostalgic. I love it. I've watched this so many times when I was younger. It brings back so many good memories. Everything that happened wasn't predictable at all. It was a funny and awesome movie to watch :)
I loved the part on the roof when Drake and his band were performing "Jingle Bells". That version was amazing! I can hear it over and over again. Same with 12 days of Christmas. They made it look so fun and not boring at all!
The monkey story was so sad :( I cried a little bit when Officer Gilbert got the good monkey. He was so happy. He was kind of a asshole in the beginning but that had a good reason.
I think the idea of this movie is awesome. It doesn't matter how much you can spend on Christmas presents or if you can afford fancy food and fancy decoration... all those things doesn't matter, as long if you're with your family and friends!
Maybe it's sad, but this was a great ending of Drake and Josh and I will miss it :'(
Drake & Josh (2004)
HUG ME BROTHA
Drake and Josh is a typical American sitcom. 2 teenage boys, family drama, girl drama, High School and the evil little sister. Drake and Josh are really different. Drake is the cool musician who doesn't do well in school and gets all the girls. Josh is totally different. He likes cooking, Oprah, is good at school, not really good with girls (except for Mindy). When their parents started dating, Drake doesn't even like Josh. Josh is just not the type guy who Drake would hang out with. But he doesn't have a choice anymore. Their parents are getting married. So they will live in the same house. And also sleep in the same room. Drake has some trouble with that in the beginning. He is just not used to it to have a brother. Only a evil little sister (Megan). They both just have to live with it. In the end, they're getting along. They see each other as real brothers. I think they have a really special bond. I can't really explain why but it's really beautiful.
I literally love the theme song "I Found a Way" written and performed by Drake Bell himself. It's also the second track of the first album of Drake Bell "Telegraph". There were also a few other songs written by Drake Bell on the show like "Down We Fall" in Season 2/Episode 10, "Highway to Nowhere" in Season 4/Episode 2 and "Makes me Happy" in Season 4/Episode 17. Highway to Nowhere is also used in "Drake and Josh, Go Hollywood".
I have 3 episodes I think are beautiful. "Guitar" Season 2/Episode 2, "Blues Brothers" Season 2/Episode 8 and the most beautiful episode for me is "Josh is done" Season 4/Episode 11". Drake has done a lot of dumb things that effects others. Now he has done another stupid thing that effects Josh, again. Josh missed a important test because of Drake. Josh is done with him. In his eyes their roommates, but not brothers. Drake thought he was joking. But he was really done with him. Unfortunately Drake was late for class. He was mad at Josh because he didn't wake him up for school. Josh said that's your own problem. Drake was panicking and said a lot of things like: 'Josh, I'm sorry. I was wrong. I need you more than you need me. I'm sorry I made you late for your exam, I'm sorry I ran over your bike, I'm sorry I'm probably the worst brother in the world. Your way better of without me. I just need you to understand, I'm sorry Josh.' That scene made me cry.
I can't say more about it than it was just beautiful and an awesome show.
Drake and Josh Go Hollywood (2006)
PREDICTABLE AND BORING
It was a funny movie to watch, but I don't like the storyline. Drake and Josh are bringing Megan to the airport so she can go to Denver. Instead of Denver she ends up in Los Angeles. Drake and Josh go after her and also end op in Los Angeles. Megan is on her on, but she doesn't mind. She has a creditcard and ends up in the most fancy Hotel in LA. That were the funny parts. The things around Megan and Drake/Josh panicking because of her. Everything with the bad guys and the money is kind of predictable and boring. I think if they only focused on finding Megan and Drake his music career, just more details about that, the movie would be better.
I think one of the funniest parts is when Megan found out she was on the wrong plane. And the stewardess told her that the plane they were on was going to LA. (Megan always calls Drake and Josh boobs). The stewardess walked away and then Megan said "Those dumb boobs". The stewardess thought it was about her and looked at her own. But of course it's about Drake and Josh.
Also the part when Josh grabbed his laptop and shuffs it under the toilet door made me laugh out loud.
I said a few good things about this movie. A few bad things, but I think it's clear why I give this a 5 out of 10 :)
