What an enjoy watch!

A real gem. It is short enough (12 episodes) and each character and case has a clear personality and story. This show has really good vibes and at times I really wish I was part of their team or I had the friendship of these 3 middle age single guys. Other characters emotional bonds are portrayed with good amount of complexity, heartwarming, painful; not just romance, but also parent-child, uncle-nephew, brother-sister, mother-in-law-bride.

The script is refreshingly mature and and I could say they tried to portray the fact that, in real life, divorces are not that simple. There are some great moments in the shows that I felt deeply for the characters. When I'm not laughing from the silly jokes, I cried a great deal for the traumatized.

It's sad that this show already had a finale. Hopefully we will see more of Attorney Shin in the future.

Refreshing

As expected from a French movie, there is so much of the unexpected here. You have the mafia style shootouts, gangsters with drugs and pistols everywhere right before or after the comedy cuts, not to mention the family/human relationships drama sprinkled along the lines. At one point, you even think this is part of an adventure flick with the wilderness and tribal lifestyle portraits of the Amazon. It can be said that the plot is ridiculously absurd that it is brilliant in its own way. I was hoping to see an easy- brainless- family- feud- comedy for a Saturday night but this movie turned out more dimensional than your typical Hollywood force-feeding laughters nowadays, which is good, right?

All in all, the story is complex right through the end and it was an enjoyable watch.

Warning: Spoilers
Like any other 10star ratings here, I can't say anything else but masterful, magnificent, mesmerizing for this episode.

  • Visually, it is incredibly stunning. It was a delightful feast for the eyes, making you forget to blink even.

  • Directing: I don't know much about all of these new methods, but those zooming in and out of focus at the night scene has definitely captured a whole different atmosphere than the murderous quakes of the day time. Also, that choice of staring at the soldier's face on the riding horse while escaping? If that didn't make you feel panicky, I don't know what will. At this point you just have to admit everything was planned and it works. I'm so very glad it works.

  • Story: best thing about this show is that any interpretation is never too far from being right. My understanding is simple but of course after repeated watch and attention to details. It's a crazy, dark and beautiful story.

This episode alone will hands down stand tall for a couple more years to come. It is now becoming a benchmark for a certain genre of TV shows.

Great job creators! Really really well done!
