The Resident: Doll E. Wood (2020)
Dr quesrion
Pravesh said they were out of options. I don't understand why they didn't contact the baby's doctors in Boston and have them fly down. It seems like they had time. I fail to understand why they would introduce a doctor from a competing hospital for a storyline when they could have just as much drama by flying in the correct doctor to perform the surgery.
I liked the trafficking story. All too real.
Surprised Cain didn't work his way into Bell's surgery considering the vocal nerves were involved. They guy who played Doll E was precious. Nice seeing the new residents working in.
Character lim.
Death in Paradise: Death in the Salon (2020)
Lazy
I've seen in other reviews that the script was lazy. Case in point: the victim was sedated with "20 mg of Benzodiazepine". Benzodiazepine is the name of a class of drugs, not a singular drug. And they said it multiple times. It was irritating!! Couple that with the recycled murder-finds-the-body- and-distracts-the-others-to-finish-the-job that was JUST used earlier in the season. Just lazy.
I do like that Ruby is become less dingy and a better cop as the season has progressed. We actually considered skipping episodes she was going to be in bc she was just too much. I like the friendship she's developed with JP.
The Resident: Out for Blood (2019)
Unbelievablity
Great episode. Lots of drama, conflict, lots of I could see it both ways. Nick's dad advocating for "his patient" was sweet. He's just trying to find himself after the loss of his daughter. Bell resigning: I did not see that coming. Cain is really starting to get on my nerves. Occasionally I see glimmers that maybe he'll stop being such an egomaniac. I'm living for when he gets his, because I see him going down in flames (and I can't decide if it should be at the hands of Kit, Bell, or the Raptor....any would be ah-maze-ing!).
What I don't get is the depositions. There's no way they could totally blindside Conrad and the rest like that. Not a lawyer, but I think there has to be some kind of notice. And I guess ego would get in the way somewhat, but why didn't Bell call Conrad's dad ASAP? He would've had a top notch lawyers there in seconds to put a stop to the madness. I think that could've created even more drama.
Virgin River: A Wedding, No Funeral and a Baby (2021)
What is happening?!
1. Is Charmaine really pregnant? She met a guy and is engages in 3 weeks and married in 4 and seems to be almost content with him just taking over her life and that of the twins. I mean, Doc and Mel saw a positive test and ultrasound right? So why isn't she showing? And her morning sickness is just over?
2. Who the hell is Brie? She just showed up with a mysterious past (very soap opera-like), falls for the bad boy, is just this reserve character (almost there just to have a reason to have Brady on the screen).
3. Paige allegedly sends Christopher to Preacher (and good on him for taking him in no questions asked) but he's not at all questioning of the lady who brought him to her? Preacher never asks Christopher about the lady. He just over does the parenting duties, much to C's annoyance. I know he doesn't talk about Paige so as not to upset C but come on. And I take it he's just in the woods left to fight hypothermia?
4. Jack and Mel....everyone has talked about their annoying situation. They're like characters on any Lifetime or Hallmark movie that don't get out of their own way to be happy. But COME ON.....she goes to LA and gets IVF? When my daughter and I saw the positive test, I said, "That makes Jack look bad...two baby mommas just months apart." She said, "but remember her trip to LA?" I said, "Yeah...that's not how IVF works....she'd have to do hormone injections and testing and all kinds of things , not to mention NOT have sex. Nah....she's didn't do IVF." 🙄
5. And Vernon has a grandson? Let's go back a step...Vernon has a kid??
Virgin River: Jack and Jill (2021)
Timing of conversations
Jack and Mel seriously thought that during the middle of a competition (where they're hanging by harnesses no less) would be a GREAT time to have a conversation about their relationship?! Seriously, who does that?
I have to say I haven't missed Hope and her cringiness this season. Having her video chat in was more than enough.

Suits: One Last Con (2019)
Partly what I expected
Raise your hand if you thought Harvey and Donna getting married at Louis' wedding was dumb.....
For all the talk of family, I find it hard to believe they just all stayed at the wedding venue and sat around until Harvey said "Hey Donna, let's get married!" Or however he said it. Romantic gesture? Yeah. But they didn't have a license, so it's not legal. He didn't think, hey Donna, our partner is about to have his first child. Maybe we should follow the ambulance for support. Not the mention that Louis wouldn't want to miss Harvey, and more importantly Donna's, wedding. Not sure how I feel about them moving to Seattle.
Yay for Katrina!
Suits: Prisoner's Dilemma (2019)
I'm the downer
Good episode for the most part.
One of the best parts was Louis opening with "Stardate 2-0-1-9..." and then listing the baby names. He cracks me up so much and I've grown o just love him. Classic Louis with how he continues to get in how own way.
I also had to laugh a few times. I recently read a Reddit thread about cliches on the show (like Harvey walking into a room and bellowing "What's the problem") and they stood out soooo much.
Anyhoo....the reason I didn't give this a higher score is Harvey and Cahill. They're both competent attorneys. Therefore.... WHY didn't they just keep their mouth shut when Malik was questioning them without counsel? I know Harvey had the throwaway line about nothing being admissible, but he could've given him something to run with at least. I also know it was for the drama factor so they'd have something to run with to fix it so Harvey could win. It just seemed really ridiculous to me.
Also the whole Harvey/Faye battle is just.....frustrating. I know respect is earned. Neither of them seems to know it though. If they'd give a li'l on either side, they'd probably at least be able to at least tolerate one another.
I'm sad that I'm almost finished with the series though. It's been a good one.
Suits: Peas in a Pod (2019)
Samantha's outfits
Usually the ladies on Suits look fabulous. I remember Jessica saying something about never having worn a dress twice, and even though she doesn't make bank like Jessica, I don't think Donna has either. I can't fathom the show's wardrobe budget and I hope they're buying consignment or something.
Anywho....let's chat about the outfit Samantha is wearing in the opening portion of the show. The white "corset" thing over the white shirt? Ooof.....just bad. And by the looks of the other reviews, I'm not the only one who noticed. I will give props though. At least in the last ep she was wearing red. She's usually in black, white, or gray.
Suits: Pecking Order (2018)
Thoughts.
So many things....
1. Katherine Heigl...whatevs. She's obviously (to me anyway) here as a foil/potential love interest for Harvey. It won't last and he'll end up with Donna as should happen (at least I hope....still watching).
2. Harvey makes a golden promise to Alex which we know, as soon as he says it, will be broken. Annoying. But glad Dulé Hill is getting some action.
3. I like Donna and Gretchen partnering. And the addition of Katrina was interesting.
4. Wondering why Wendell Pierce isn't in opening credits.
5. Finally.... Louis and his growth have been one of my favorite things. His interactions with his therapist have been great, and I'm glad he's standing up for himself. Especially against Sheila.
Suits: Skin in the Game (2017)
Questions
I'm halfway through the episode and have questions.
1. How the hell does Donna have $500k for a buy in? I mean.... I'm sure she's good with money (she wears a different dress every day, just like Jessica), but, and no offense, she's a legal secretary. Harvey must REALLY supplement her salary.
2. Why doesn't Rachel EVER wear color? Occasionally she'll wear a blue shirt with her skirt, but it's mostly black, white, gray, or that gray/blue color. Put her in royal blue! Or purple! Or red!
3. I liked the Mike/Harvey banter this episode. It's like the original season days.
4. Poor Louis. But Gretchen is a wonderful add to the cast.
Suits: Intent (2015)
Louis!!
I'm so glad he's back to his comedic self. And when he hugged Donna!! By the way...when he said his lines about Norma in this scene and they started laughing, who else felt like this was a blooper they left in ala Julia Roberts and Richard Gere in Pretty Woman. It was just a cute scene.
I also wanted Donna to either take Louis or convince Harvey to let him be co-counsel. I'm thinking it's like not letting a surgeon operate on a family member and H & D are just that close...
I docked one star because it's becoming a little predictable. Harvey's conversation with the DA (paraphrasing): "The DA's office NEVER goes after intent." Cue the DA going after intent.
Suits: The Other Time (2013)
Louis rules this ep
Frankly this whole Hessington oil thing is boring and confusing to me. I really don't care at all about it. It's made Harvey and Jessica enemies, which I think is stupid.
Louis and the cat are golden though. I like Louis now. He has a crazy soft spot for the cat and Rachel, which is kind of adorable. He went from being a jerk to being genuinely funny and not just the butt of jokes.

The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window: Episode 1 (2022)
Entertaining
Can we talk about the Corningware dishes?! Those aren't cheap. She's destroyed multiple ones and seems to have an endless supply?!
I'm with others....is it a dark comedy? Is it a drama? I'm hanging in bc the episodes are short and the show seems binge worthy

Grey's Anatomy: Let's Talk About Sex (2022)
Just disappointed
Grey's often hits controversial topics, and usually I can make it though an episode. I try to see the other side. This one was just Over. The. Top. All I could think is I'd hate to have a small child that would suddenly appear in the room and ask "what's that?"
Bailey coming back to fight the war for women.....Addison presumably needing to keep working (bc presumably her working long hours was going to keep kids from having sex?). And now Jo is an attending again? Owen and Teddy's bit about her being mad at him all the time....apparently she just needed sex.? The students/interns are just meh. The one girl that, of course, had sex with Link before knowing she would be working at his hospital - that "awkward joke" is getting old.
Time to wrap it up Grey's. You have nothing more to do. It's clear everyone is tired. They're caricatures of themselves. I don't even buy Meredith's relationship with Minnesota guy. And she gets mad at him and the others for letting Zola play in the lab while they figure out she's gifted? It's not like they were doing exploratory surgery.
Just stop. No really....this needs to be the last season.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Gone Baby Gone (2018)
No backup
Olivia just goes to a cabin in the woods to a likely crazy person and is basically "oh I can do this without backup..." SERIOUSLY?! I'm already annoyed at her disobeying Dodds telling her she couldn't be on the case (risking Fin's job too), but then her experienced self does something that wreckless?! C'mon.... we get it...you're a tough cop, but with experience should come wisdom. Enough to know you need backup. Dumb.
Also I'm not sure why when I write a review I have to have a certain number of characters. I see short reviews all the time so I wonder if there's a setting or widget I need to fix.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Imposter (2016)
Liv is over the top
The question no one has posted yet was something brought up by Rollins and Carisi when they interviewed the real admissions officer: she didn't google the guy? I mean this episode was in 2016. Who DOESN'T do a quick cursory google on things like this? I'd think if Laura was so all about all things Hudson, she'd know the actual staff like the back of her hand....
Liv never even thinks about the wrongdoing of the "victim". I wonder how many times she's said "rape", "raped", and "we can protect you"? (BTW when she says "we can protect you" I immediately cringe bc 9/10 times the person is harmed.)
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Maternal Instincts (2015)
Rollins's sister
I would've rated this higher, but Rollins's sister just makes me insane. I can't stand her or Rollins's mom.
And in this episode, I kinda didn't like Rollins much bc she wouldn't stand up for herself. At. All. Maybe bc she was pregnant, but I'd think setting records straight would be better for her blood pressure than trying to cover for/help or whatever she was doing for her sister. I'm baffled as to why she didn't just go right to Liv. She knows Kim's history.
Then we're left hanging. Allegedly her lawyer is working out something with the ADA but who knows. And Kim thinks he's going to propose (Insert eye roll).
I'm doing a series watch so maybe it'll be addressed in the next episode.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Transgender Bridge (2015)
Heartbreaking
I couldn't finish the episode bc I just knew it was going to have a tragic ending. That said, I was gripped from the beginning. When I saw the hardworking mom who watched her watch the entire time she was at family court just trying to make her way for her family; the supportive parents of the transgender kid; and when Darius sketched an apology and Avery's response was (paraphrasing) "How did he knew I was into graphic novels?" Tears. Tears I say.
I just wanted to hug everyone. Yes Darius needed to be punished, but not that harshly (I read reviews to surmise his sentence). He was truly repentant. Something not often seen in these episodes. That's why I couldn't give a 10. Otherwise spot on. There was no jurisdictional battle ("we're not giving this clearly federal case to the feds. It happened in our backyard!"). No "Rollins steer clear." Next scene Rollins NOT steering clear. It was just a compelling story that broke my heart.
NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Call of Silence (2004)
How can you not give it a 10
I'm joining the ranks of those who love this episode. I remember the first time I saw it and how it made me wonder which elements were real (did they really get free transportation for life? Were they always saluted?) It made me do some research.
It's such an endearing episode. I love how Gibbs is a li'l awestruck. I love how Yost kinda flirts with Kate. Everyone seems to love how Lt Cmdr (Alicia Coppola) has to salute an enlisted man.
It's also a reminder about how we still need to do better to take care of our vets and their mental health. I know he's a fictional character, but when Gibbs was reading his citation..... there was a line about him being found among the 26 Japanese he'd killed. Our soldiers still experience loss like that. My husband being one of them. It's hard on the heart and soul.
I know as I write this it's been almost 18 years since this episode aired. It holds up.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: P.C. (2010)
Kathy Griffin is awful
I've never been a fan, and rolled my eyes when she appeared on screen. Have to admit, I almost skipped the episode but continued bc I wanted to see how the story played out. She just gets on my very last nerve.
All American: Murder Was the Case (2022)
It's all JJ
I'll say this....despite some lazy writing in previous episodes, they have done a great job developing JJ. He's a great big goofball, but he loves his friends and truly hurts when they hurt. I wish the gang would payback the love somehow.
All American: C.R.E.A.M (Cash Rules Everything Around Me) (2022)
Lazy writing
I've read other reviews about lazy writing, and here's another. College football is played primarily in Saturday. So for the QB1's NIL sponsor to be flying him and others to Vegas to party on a Saturday.....not likely.
Also jumping back, Spencer and Jordan were allegedly practicing 6a-10:30p with a few breaks. There were times they were doing things with friends or family where timelines just didn't make sense. Like dates and dinner when they'd really be at practice or other times that whatever they'd be doing would be at like midnight but everyone is just up like they only need 3 hours of sleep. Just stretching reality a li'l too much.
All American: 6 'n the Mornin' (2022)
D1 football
Those guys wouldn't take a month off from graduation before starting practice/training for D1 in real life. Just saying.... and JJ just blowing it off would NEVER pass muster for a scholarship player. .
All American: Prom Night (2021)
Prom was lame
Two seeming large schools merge for a dual prom and like 20 couples show up?! No prom king and king from Beverly?
Kinda bad when the best couple at the soirée is GW and Denise.
And Spencer falling on his sword again...seriously? I'm kinda over that.
