The Leisure Seeker (2017)
Not enjoyable
I'm 67 my husband is 70, we've been married forever and a this hits a lot too close for comfort. I found nothing funny or charming about this movie, instead it was scary and utterly depressing. I wish I hadn't watched it and I skipped to end halfway through because I knew where it was going and I do that kind of thing.
Thirty-Nine (2022)
Skip it
Took me 9 weeks to finish this this painfully slow maudlin drama. I watched every episode up to the middle of ten, then just couldn't take it anymore and fast forwarded to 12, watched all of it and was like, eh. The actors gave it their all but the script was awful. It's been said before, this is really Mi Jo story of dealing with her feelings about the terminal illness of her friend, the only romantic chemistry is between her and dying Chan Young. I'm not sure why I plodded through to the end, maybe looking for some brilliant insight about life, death, friendship but it didn't deliver. I cry plenty at good dramas, my tears were used up by episode 3.
