Izla (2021)
Not the WORSE B film I have ever seen
Not the WORSE B film I have ever seen and definitely not the worst zombie film I've ever seen.
Granted it wasn't great, I'll probably never even think of this movie again beginning wishing the next 30 minutes, all the characters were dumber than dumb, and a few scenes were embarrassing to even watch but it was kinda fun to watch and I even managed to giggle a few times. Most of the plot was girls screaming and running from zombies. The zombies were silly. I liked the Marathon Runner Zombie even though it made no sense whatsoever which ironically neither does the film. The movie is very similar to Go Goa Gone. Thanks to the plethora of REALLY bad zombie movies, this was not the worse.
Dance of the Dead (2008)
Dance of the Living Dead
It should have been called "Dance of the Living Dead" and I'm really surprised it wasn't. Idk but I'd guess some kinda legal reasoning for it not. The zombies are exactly like the zombies of the Return of the Living Dead series of movies except that they do die with a head shot. Other than that, they talk slightly "brains! Brains!" The crave eating brains. They become entranced by music. Even the beginning started very similar to Return of the Living Dead Part II with the outbreak occurring in a cemetery mausoleum. Obviously, the military was missing but it's better that way anyway. Unfortunately, unless I'm mistaken, they never made a Return of the Dance of the Living Dead or Dance of the Dead Part II. I even thought the movie wasn't going to over yet the way the ending sets is all up for. One of the better zombie movies out there and a must see for fans of the Return of the Living Dead franchise!
Unhuman (2022)
High School age geared zombie movie with a moral.
I watched this because I watch zombie movies. I also read the user reviews before I watched Unhuman and I very nearly didn't watch it because of the reviews. Albeit, granted there are quite a few awkward moments, cheesy quotes, and uncomfortable scenes as adolescents attempt to be cool and/or bad ass that would probably have made me laugh more if I didn't feel so embarrassed on their behalf, perhaps the younger (high school aged) audience might fail to catch any embarrassment feelings and laugh as the film intended and i think they should have that option instead of being chased away from watching this film by the plethora of horrendous reviews because it's NOT that bad of a movie. In fact, it was actually a pretty damn good movie over all. I was thoroughly enthralled for the first half, and even though the plot change was definitely over explained which unfortunately drastically reduced the horror aspect and gave it all a feeling like two wrongs do make a right (which just might be the unintentional REAL morel of the story) I was still nonetheless entertained. Even the final scene wasn't a total loss since it definitely got me worked up as I yelled "yeah right!! Give the kids what?!?"
I have watched a LOT of REALLY horrible unwatchable zombie movies that felt like drop out students filmed a zombie movie using a flip phone for their camera. This was not one of them. It's wasn't a ten star but was definitely watchable, enjoyable, intense, and fun plus awkward, geeky, and kinda wholesome. Plus, it's a zombie movie!! Why wouldn't you want to watch it?!?
