Gotham: Viper (2014)
Season 1, Episode 5
8/10
An interesting and well-written episode (Spoiler Free)
26 November 2014
Just finished watching the "Viper" episode and have to admit this was BY FAR the most intelligently written of the episodes I have seen. The plot was intriguing with an interesting "other worldly" edge that help start it off.

Afterwards it became more grounded in the reality of Gotham and the past events. By extending those events in a logical fashion it help develop depth of character for the Evil and Good characters.

I also liked how it brought the element of Wayne Enterprises onto the stage with a promise of more involvement in the development of the plot.

Well done and enjoyable (My FIRST positive rating of any of the Gotham episodes)

A series making money off the Batman franchise...Teaser!
26 November 2014
After watching a few episodes I see what game the producers of Gotham are trying to pull off. By showing the years prior to Batman's coming out party, they show us the rise of the principal villains of the Cape Crusaders life.

While illustrating the seedy, dirty and totally corrupt political and criminal climate of Gotham it TOTALLY changes the Origins of the major villains in Batman's life.

Without going into any details or spoilers you will find as you watch it that you are frustrated by the fact that this series focuses on James Gordon's rise as a young detective (Again without being accurate to Bob Kane's Jim Gordon)his love life and efforts to navigate through the corrupt system of Gotham.

The series teases in cameos of the villains and young Master Bruce Wayne as a side character but overall you will find it gives you plenty of steak sauce without the steak.

Major League (1989)

A Movie that I can watch over and over again
1 November 2014
I find myself sometimes just wanting to watch an amazing movie and Major League is one of those movies.

I believe I have watched this movie at least 10 times and it never gets old when I watch it.

The acting is first class staring a young Wesley Snipes, Charlie Sheen and Tom Berenger. Also, with future star Dennis Haysbert as a voodoo worshiping slugger (very funny)and of course Bob Uecker!!

The plots and trials and hard-aches of the Cleveland Indians are so poignantly displayed and presented in a way that it makes Major League a movie that I can watch over and over.

A complete joke and TOTALLY UNLIKE the book
6 August 2014
I am currently reading The Chronicles of Prydain and thinking that it would be good to see the movie as I read, I picked up this movie.

What A SHOCK!!!! All of the other main characters with the exception of Hen Wen, Taran, Princess Eilonwy, Girgy and F. Flam are missing and this movie starts off with Taran's mentor as a bumbling fool, as a opposed to a serious scholar and goes downhill from there.

It goes on with tons of added ridiculous characters, scenes and characterizations of some of the people in the book.

Overall, it wanders so far away from the book and with so many laughable, non-existent occurrences it becomes unwatchable as you watch in horror this train wreck of a movie! Don't bother with this mess, listen to the unabridged recordings from Listening Library and embrace this CLASSIC series of novels!

Ridiculous and totally NON-Anne of Green Gables
9 July 2014
The script and story of this "So-Called" Anne of Green Gables: The continuing story is horrible, with its sexual innuendos towards the beginning (totally inappropriate for the time period and story) and complete bastardization of L.M. Montgomery series.

I gave it One star ONLY because the historical accuracy of World War 1 situation.

Megan Follows performance was lifeless and flat; I just don't understand (Perhaps its off-camera troubles or disappointment with this Ridiculous BETRAYAL of L.M. Montgomery's story) but this is not the "Anne Shirley" that I came to love in Megan's WONDERFUL portrayal of Anne of Green Gables and Ann of Avonlea.

Don't bother watching this if you want to keep the good feelings from the first Two movies and matchless books by Mrs. Montgomery. Just watch the Two other movies/mini-series and skip this at all cost!

The Crown Jewel of RPG
8 November 2013
The first time I HEARD of Vampire the Masquerade:Bloodlines was while searching for a new game to play after Neverwinter Nights 2. I watched Gopher's Let's play of Vampire the Masquerade:Bloodlines and after seeing the first (2) episodes, I stopped watching because I said I HAVE TO PLAY THIS!

This game has the most creative NPC (Non Player Characters) that interact with you an a way that is authentic, organic and very creative. The back story and Lore of World of Darkness by White Wolf in which Vampire the Masquerade:Bloodlines takes place in is one of treachery, plots within plots and the never-ending hunger (Called "The Beast") to feed on blood.

You have different choices that you can make, which have a DIRECT impact on your progression and interactions in the game.

You have the choice of playing from one of (8) clans as a Male or Female and each clan has their own individual powers, motivations, horrors and quests.

I started of playing the INCREDIBLE Clan Malkavian and had NUMEROUS humorous moments from the confusion on the individual faces because of the insanity that runs in this clans and their dialog choices.

I cannot recommend this game enough to anyone that's wants to experience a TRULY unique RPG video game.

Be sure to obtain and install the Official patch, found here: http://planet-vampire.net2

and then the Unofficial Patch, found here: http://www.patches-scrolls.de/patch

and Enjoy!!

A very cheesy and poorly timed film
15 August 2012
Warning: Spoilers
From the opening credits and the musical intro, you know that this is going to be a bomb. I picked up this movie thinking that it would be a classic Nuclear war classic film but all I got was a bunch of small scale skirmishing and these conference rooms shots of the President and the Russian Premier engaged in tension packed discussion about nuclear warfare. I had just watched "Threads" for the second time and another great BBC documentary that discussed the true horrors of Nuclear conflict and was looking forward to a similar quality film but this is just so low budget and with just some familiar actors in this obviously canned film for the time, I can not recommend this film in any way, shape or fashion.

The Movie that ALWAYS Brightens my day!
7 October 2011
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is one of the greatest musicals of all time. The flow and movement of the story and interweaving of the gorgeous music is something I never get tired of. I remember viewing this film as a child and reading (and being much surprised that the author was none other than "oo7" himself, Ian Fleming!). The expansion of Mr. Fleming's novel is simply Scrumptious. Dick Van Dykes' portrayal of the eccentric inventor is just wonderful. Ilove it when he dances with the troupe at the carnival, stealing the show along with the fantastic dancers/singers who accompany him. The lullaby he sings to the children is one of my all-time favorite songs...it is so poignant and brilliantly written. Susan Ann Howes' role as Truly Scrumptious was delightful and when she is a music box ballerina she just melts my heart....

There is so much I could say about "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" but my recommendation is just to sit back with a bag of Spicy Nacho popcorn (My personal favorite) and enjoy!

Very Nice Movie
26 September 2009
One of the best movies to come out in a few years.. Totally different subject matter (Much better than the slow HEROES) and nicely done. Cant wait for PUSH 2. The action scenes were well done. The different effects were very cool The scenes with the bleeders (ala screamers were so cool) I like the characters of the watchers which seem to be the main players along with nick.s Also, they way the plot was woven with different possibilities. I am going to watch it again now to see what I missed (which I am sure was a lot) and I highly recommend this film. Moreover, the time it took to produce this film definitely can be seen and I understand that there are online comics that continue this story so check them out for more background....Peace!

I Loved Wonderama
20 June 2007
I grew watching Metromedia Television Channel 5 New York from my apartment in Bridgeport, CT and My FFFFFAAAVVVorite show was Wonderama!!!! Yeah!!! When I heard those trumpets at the opening and all the kids and of Course, Bob Mcallister my day was as complete and fulfiled as reading a Peanuts Comic Book (Another joy of my childhood) I love "Exercise, Come on Everybody do your Exercise..." and I wished so much I could have been in the studio audience (As I'm sure many of the Commenters here and viewers everywhere did too!) Thanks for the memories Bob and rest in peace.
