intimate and sensitive

As a young black gay man i may not be objective to review this film. But for me to see such a bold and groundbreaking film on the big screen was so inspiring and monumental.

I mean think about that how many films that engaged in black gay people we have seen on the screen?

Beyond that, the actors are amazing and the plot felt so real. No wonder why Mahershala Ali won the best support actor at the same year.

I think that the film feels so authentic, that through the whole movie i felt like im watching documentry film.

The film displays topics, the same topics that we are as society try to burry under the ground, especially in the black society.

Do yourself a favour and watch the movie.

Not a romantic comedy

If I needed to define that movie on three words I will probably choose these words.

I have to say that the script is one of the best scripts that I have ever seen. The dialogues are real, raw and cynical.

Some scenes are terribly accurate and at the same breath are amusing

As a son of a divorce parents this film brought me comfort and a unique point of view on my parents.

I suddenly realised that things are more complicated than I thought.

The acting in that movie is beyond of any expectation.

Scarlet Johnson is phenomenal and outstanding also her partner Adam Driver.

You saw what I did there. I introduced her first on purpose. Just kidding they both had an unreal acting skills.

Do your self a favour.

Watch this movie.

Scarlet Johnson and Adam driver on their prime.

Real, raw and heavy
1 July 2023
So... I'll be real not an easy movie.

It can be tiring and exhausting.

But there are some scenes that are worth the consistency.

Some Scenes are so raw and alive the acting in that movie is outstanding not doubt about that.

Though, the plot can be frustrating and it goes slow.

Although I always tried to remember that this is a grieving film ( I recommend you also doing it, it can helps with your tolerance while watching).

Also, the movie lead me to realisation that it's natural and that's how mourning really works.

The iconic scene with Michelle Williams and Casey Affleck is one of the best scenes that I have ever seen. The acting and the cinematography was beyond of any expectation.

A good realistic movie
29 October 2022
If I will be honest I had some ups and downs when I saw the movie.

The beginning of the movie was kind of hard to watch.

It was boring and it felt like the plot would not go to anywhere special but when the third chapter started I started to recognise something special.

By the way, for me the third chapter was by far the best.

As a viewer I started to be mad at the main character. She really got on my nerves.

But then I came to realisation that this character is simply realistic. Like the plot.

Anyone including me could be this character especially in our days when every young person tries to understand what his essence on the world.

In conclusion the movie definitely worth a watch but don't accept for some engaging plot instead try to understand the real meaning of the movie it will give you wide perspective probably even on your own life.

Innovative cliche

If you are fans of adults animation you got to the right address.

The movie is creative and gives some tonic vibes.

It's refreshing to see this movie and it is nice to see something that doesn't alike any movie that on the big screen.

The characters are relatable and easy to identify with.

The soundtracks and the songs on the movie are really good and gives cool vibes.

Although the animation and the shots were unique It wasn't the case for the plot.

It was kind of usual classic love story. The plots twist were predictable and on the first half of the movie you could see where it's going to.

And even though it was a cliche it didn't catch me in my feelings and I didn't fluster so much even from the emotional scenes.

Best picture science fiction movie for the first time!
21 October 2022
Where do I start?

I could write a lot of words who could try to the describe this movie but I can assure you that I wont Succeed.

I will start with the most significant saying.

This movie changed everything that I taught about science fiction movies.

I always assume that although science fiction movies are fun to watch it will never give me feelings or will get the impact that a drama movie will give me but this movie is the evidence that this stereotype, about science fiction movies, is wrong.

It's funny that although the plot looks so tricky and complicated at the end the plot describe something very simple (or actually more complicated), mother and daughter relationship and add some generation gap for the twist, yeah probable the meaning of the universe is simpler than that topic.

Beyond the magnificent plot we have the two main role actors.

Both of them gave us an outstanding performance And even made me pour some tears at the end.

I have to say that in my opinion the actor who played the dad will get an Oscar for his performance.

"Maturing"
21 October 2022
It's funny, In the Hebrew language the movie boyhood, translations as maturing, adolescence.

If I will be honest usually I'm grinning to the translations of movie's name in Hebrew.

Only, Israeli people will relate to my feeling.

But, the translation in that case is genius here and honestly I couldn't describe it more accurate.

This movie is a piece of art.

It really is. A masterpiece will be the best choice to describe this movie.

The movie shows us the thing that people called "life" this movie is the exact definition of life. The plot is so peculiar.

If I'll be honest when the first time I saw the plot. In a first sight, i didn't see something peculiar, but while the movie continues u can identify that there is something magnetise about this movie . Some mysterious force that making u finish the movie no matter what.

One of the Virtues of this move is that this movie is so real. Those of you who read , Stoner, and loved that book will also love this movie. I think that the common denominator is that there isn't any significant drama or an engaging plot and it doesn't needed here. There is no an extra drama the plot is real and realistic and that's the beautiful thing here.

I want to relate the two lasts scenes.

The first, the scene with mason and his mom.

The Dialogue between them is one of a kind.

They talking about one of the most important stage in life when the children leaves their home and left their parents alone.

We can see that although his mom wanted to be stayed alone and told her children to packing their things when the true moment comes she is frustrating about that.

She takes all of her frustrations and threw it on her son. In my opinion, she's having the midlife crises.

Anyway, the movie shows us the most important stages on life and I'm sure it will give you your own perspective on your life.
