this is a damiano damini so youll expect a certian level of social realism and it does not disappoint. its a damming film about the stranglwhold of the mafia in palermo where this is set. See it,you wont be disapponited,but you will not feel better about life. This is not fantasy godfather stuff but the real hopeless raw variety. In a funny way its a hym to humanity. Palermo looks really awful and down at heel. wonderful score out of 10 a nine.

The real star of this very rare italian crime film is Messina and its harbour area. This is very low budget shot in the street by the same director as "reflections in Black".
its very brutal and also rather sleazy with several plots,not always connected,the principal one been a fathers revenge,played by the director, of his daughters killing.
Messinna looks really well as does the mountains of Calabri in the backround.
Out of 10 i would give it a six for its sheer jest in spite of no budget.

The opening scene on this german sov has two scantily clothed ladies and a man who shoots the head off one of the ladies......Thats the start and from there it goes on its Mysognist way.Its cheap and nasty and excessively gory and just badly made.It ends with a tribute to Jess franco and joe[aristide messassaci] damato....aside from one or two nice erotic momments its just moronically violent.

this is a downbeat but intersting 80s american movie with a great performance by the leading lady.It has themes of loneliness,homophobia and anxiety.You will not feel better about life after seeing but you will not forget it either.

Skin deep was the title by which i saw it.It was bright breezy full of sea sand nudity and soft core.If this was american made it would be like "Porkys" crude and offensive. This is italian so it has style and joie de veivre. It will never win awards but its pleasant and sensual and likes its character. You could do worse

This is quiet a good hk cat11 action/sleaze/gangster film. Like all hk films the subtitling was awful.The ending scene with the fightout between the females in their earthmoving equiptment was novel. One word of warning.....the sleaze is in abdundance and the sex scenes are quite kinky and rough. All in all you co do worse

There are two versions of this film by di leo,a good reliable italian director of usually hard boiled detective films,. The american one has the ending toned down and some sex secenes shortened,the lesbian scenes between Carati and Guida is missing.The opening scene in the italian version has full frontals,missing from the american version.
But the big difference is the ending,in the italian version it comes out of the blue.Its nasty vicious and never ever to be forgotten. So you have been warned.THat scene where the camera pulls away from the violated dead naked bodies in the woods,never to be forgotten

Apart from a wonderful erotic opening where an actress strips and makes love to her boss againt the backdrop of planes flying in and out Hong Kong international airport,there is not a whole lot more in this HK cat111. Its really a weepie with sex which goes no where. I am sure there are worse Hk films around but i know the vast majority are better than this.
