My Christmas Guide (2023)
Amber rocks!
It was so fantastic seeing Amber in a Hallmark movie. I am a huge fan of hers and Heartland is my favorite show ever. She is so real, so kind, and just lovely, and did a terrific job in this movie. What a great role for Amber who is a huge animal lover. I also loved seeing Ben and Ava who also did a terrific job. Great movie highlighting Max and the major role he plays in helping people to navigate the many obstacles in their lives. I liked that you also highlighted abuse that people often face with seeing impairments. So sad but it was handled well. I'd love to see Amber in more Hallmark movies. She's a joy to watch.
Heart of Invictus (2023)
Terrific Documentary!
Wow! I have always been a huge fan of Invictus, rooting on the athletes, knowing what each one of them has gone through. I thank each one of them for their service to our countries. Watching the documentary gave such insight into their lives and stories and how the Invictus games gave them hope and how the Invictus community made them feel whole again. I cried through each episode and I thank Prince Harry for founding Invictus and dedicating his life to helping vets. Through all the constant criticism of the Prince and his beautiful wife, I thank them for standing tall and doing such good in this world. This documentary is a must see.
Live to Lead (2022)
Outstanding!
Live to Lead touched my heart in a big way. I didn't know most of the people featured and I loved hearing about each one of them. I also cried my eyes out. One thing I really liked, was that each segment was only 30 minutes long. It packed a punch and got right down to the nitty-gritty and the essence of each person. I liked that a lot. Sometimes documentaries can be too long and exhausting but this series was short, to the point, and centered on each person's contributions and gifts. Siya's story of growing up in poverty really got to me. And how his grandmother would bring him home cookies she was offered, so he would have something to eat. I hope to see more documentaries like this. Each person featured was inspiring and left me feeling that I, too, can make a difference in my part of my world. Thanks to the producers, directors, interviewers, and to all who created each segment. Thanks to Harry and Meghan. I follow all the good work they do and they inspire me, as well. Thank you.
