FreakAngels: NINE (2022)
Season 1, Episode 9
6/10
Uhhhh. what?
1 February 2023
The ninth episode of FreakAngels marks the end of this fantastic anime series, and unfortunately, it falls short of expectations. Despite being a solid entry in the series, the ending leaves much to be desired. The episode features a lackluster conclusion that fails to tie up all of the loose ends in a satisfying way. The animation, while still impressive, feels less polished compared to earlier episodes. The characters, who were previously so well-developed, are given short shrift in the finale. The soundtrack, while still good, is not as memorable as previous episodes. Despite these flaws, the ninth episode of FreakAngels still deserves recognition for its strong storytelling and memorable moments throughout the series. Overall, while it's a disappointing ending to a solid anime, it's still worth watching for fans of the genre.
