The Interpreter (2005)
in the top ten of my worst films ever
This was one of the worst movies I have ever seen, taking in to account the caliber of the actors, the budget and the story. Nicole Kidman- while looking the best she has in a long time- put on a shocking performance with one of the worst accents I have ever heard her do.
The script writing was a shocker, with Sean Penn delivering some of the corniest lines I have heard since I watched 'Disturbing Behaviour' some years ago. you know it is bad when you cant stop laughing through the whole film- and it isn't meant to be comedy!
The storyline was predictable and I challenge anyone who has seen it to say that they didn't pick the bad guy in the first 15 minutes. If you sit through this just remember that you will never get those two hours back!
Absolute Rubbish!
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)
One of the most brilliant films made
I'll be very brief. Eternal sunshine is the way all romantic interest based films (I hate the term rom-com) should be. Quirky, hilarious, touching and genuine, it scores on every front. Visual effects are brilliant and used for the right reasons- not just weak eye candy. Kaufmann deserves his celebrity, and Eternal Sunshine scores on all fronts. One of the most wonderful films ever made- all who have loved and lost will appreciate this movie
One to see ASAP
Final Cut (1997)
10/10... Great Short Film!
Final Cut is Justin Cases' great short film, involving a very funny conflict between two neighbours regarding an unreturned lawnmower and a kidnapped axolotyl.. THe tiig inthis film is superb, and the frenetic music (vivaldi i think) and shots make this a thoroughly enjoyable short film. I loved it, definitely want to see more of Justins' work make it this big too, he even made it to Cannes! 10/10!
