Òran na h-Eala (2022)
I can't get enough
I only wish this was longer and had more ballet sequences. The film takes a part from The Red Shoes. We witness the complexity of the choices Moira Shearer has to be make. Lots of emotions, deep dialogue and a stunning aesthetic film with so much to look out for. It's really a feast for your eyes. It's a short film and i'm a little disappointed by that but i seen it at least 3 times tot catch some of things I missed. Films like this really make you appreciate the time and energy the cast and director put in to make such a detailed and perfectly scripted film. I'm amazed by this film and I hopefully there will be a continuation of this.
Great Kills (2023)
Funny but also dark
This was like the black witch project but the state island version. Good realistic documentary type of plot with some impressive camera work that made me feel like i was there. Lots of violence and yes it gets dark but believe me it has it's very funny moments. Actors all are talented and the realism in this one is award winning. I hope this film gets more attention it rightfully deserves. Really refreshing to see filmmakers push the boundaries here and it really paid off. The way they ended this could also be a setup of part two or even a tv series. Lots of opportunities to grow off this film. Brilliant work.
