My Bloody Brother (2020)
Awwww
This film is too sweet for anyone to watch. The sister character is so adorable and captured my heart although she's never shown on screen. I simply love her.
I also love the nonchalant way the brother goes by his day, his acceptance of whatever his sister does to him, and his cute guilt of being afraid being captured in a serious way. The chemistry is palpable and crystal clear. It only made sense to me when I've learned that they are actually brother and sister in real life, which added more to the aw factor.
The cinematography was too casual and clearly not professional, but that -in my opinion- was a part of how genuine this film really is.

What a delicious meal
This is not a meal, this is a full banquet festival of mixed feelings, symbolism and innovation.
The lift's motions are physically one dimensional, the characters location made them two dimensional, the interactions made it three dimensional, and all the overflow of emotions makes it to the fourth dimension which I was never taken to before. You'll get ridden with the meal and you'll feel what it feels, you'll live what it lives, you'll suffer its pains.
Now, I won't spoil the ending, but it is a masterpiece that makes you understand what was going on before it, and it is like race that shows how much it is about the ending more than the pathway to it.
In My Shoes (2021)
The definition of state-of-the-art
Cielo was not just playing with my mind, he was playing with my hormones. He is THE king of perspective.
I mean, this literally changed my view of life, look at life from less than two meters below your eyes is a totally different life all together.
I loved how when you're fully invested in the story of one character, the next arc will pull you forcefully from your excitement and put you into another one so you'll keep wanting more and more. The flow of the film is flawless, it is breathtaking.
You'll get totally emerged when watch this film you'll not know when someone is being murdered next to you.

Weird but effective
This movie is very dazzling, maybe because it goes too deep into this human and this is especially apparent because the director depicted the main character in a POV kind of way.
Chances are you are going to repeat the film more than twice to see the depth of it. It is such a cool concept, a risky one I might add.
It is like thinking you're going on a straight line but it is a very slightly curved on, and you are going to get back to the starting point sooner or later. The director clearly has a strong connection with his deceased cousin and he clearly grieves too hard for his own good.
RIP Mr. Ahmed.
